discounting questions

When setting up discounts for products and/or sale pricing them using the new way will these be in any way exportable? To rephrase this is the sale data available to something like template data feed in order to provide a google product feed.

We actually use feedexact but I assume the method is pretty similar. We currently use the cost field to accomplish this but if the information isn't available to the modules it would not work for us to set up the new way since google wants the information.

The answer to this somewhat depends of the type of discount.

For example if you setup a "Sale Price" discount, this allows you to specify for each individual product what you want its sale price to be. In this case the sale price is importable and exportable via the standard custom fields and would be available in template data feed and i'm assuming feedexact.

If your want to export dynamically calculated discounts based on the discounting rules (price groups) you have setup, then that most likely is not exportable. In that case you could always built a page on the front end which loops though products and exports the data with the correct calculated product price, but these prices won't be available to template data feed/feedexact.
