I may have missed the memo on this - is MMUI a supported framework with Merchant 9?

That's a very good question - considering I was thinking it was going to be phased out.Leslie Kirk

Re: Possible to convert 5.5 MMUI to Merchant 9?
If you are on MMUI you will be able to upgrade to Miva Merchant 9. However, some features such as ReadyThemes are only available to CSSUI stores are won't be available to MMUI stores on Version 9.

Along these lines - I just noticed that MMUI is still offered as a choice in a new MM9 (beta) setup. Have you considered nixing that?Leslie Kirk

We were considering that, let me ask Dev again.Along these lines - I just noticed that MMUI is still offered as a choice in a new MM9 (beta) setup. Have you considered nixing that?

You can't really nix it unless you create a utility to convert it to CSSUI without wreaking havoc on the design of a store.Best,

Pamela,
I think Leslie just meant the ability to install a new MMUI install in 9, not kill the upgrade path.

That I agree with. It makes sense for long-term and also anyone wanting to use third-party scripts and services.

Yes, just to confirm, I meant the ability to set up a new store with MMUI. I was surprised to see it as an option to chose from when I was setting up a beta 3 dev store.Leslie Kirk

Same here. Use of it can actually stifle growth.

Re: Possible to convert 5.5 MMUI to Merchant 9?
We have a 5.5 (with latest update) MMUI store that is pretty heavily modified and we use lots of modules. Will upgrading to 9 be seamless? Will everything still work? It honestly has me a bit concerned, as I don't want to be penalized (NCF) for not upgrading, but I also don't want my store to break.

The only Version 9 feature that won't work with MMUI is our new Ready Themes and their controls. We have a 5.5 (with latest update) MMUI store that is pretty heavily modified and we use lots of modules. You should have no issues at all just upgrading safely well within the 90 days of the NCF window.

I would definitely recommend doing the update in a dev version of your store, then test, test test.Originally posted by SpeakerRepair.com View PostWe have a 5.5 (with latest update) MMUI store that is pretty heavily modified and we use lots of modules.
