How To Integrate Miva with MOM (mail order manager)

How to integrate M.O.M. (mail order manager by FreestyleSolutions - Dydacomp) with Miva Merchant :

    1) Install MOM on a desktop database server
    2) Install MOM on a workstation to access MOM server
    3) Install Miva Module (mailordermanager5.mvc) into Miva (as of this writing Miva 9)
    a) Login to Miva Admin
    b) Click on Modules
    c) Click Add Module

    d) Upload the mailordermanager5.mvc module that was sent to you by FreeStyle Solutions - their support email is [email protected])

    e) Once installed launch MOM workstation and connect to MOM database

    f) In MOM go to the top menu -> OPTIONS ---> eCommerce Management --> Define eCommece Merchants Setting

    g) Select the MIVA TAB

    h) Enter Store Code for Miva. You can find this in the Miva Admin --> STORE SETTINGS

    i) Add the path to the MOM connector for Miva Script URL
    example: http://YOUR-DOMAIN-HERE.com/mm5/5.00...rmanager5.mvc?

    j) Username: Enter the Miva Admin Username

(it is best to get multiple seats from miva for the admin usernames so that two or more admins can be logged into miva at the same time. If you use one Miva Admin and are logged into the Miva admin online then try to retrieve orders with the same admin in MOM you will not be able to download the orders until you logout of the online Miva Admin)

    k) Password: Enter the Miva Admin Password

    l) Select the TEST CONNECTION TO MIVA button and you should get a message saying you connected successfully. If not check your settings. Also look at the MISCELLANEOUS tab on this same section and make sure you have a SHIPPING METHOD entered (ie: UPS FEDEX etc)

    m) To Test to see if orders are downloading correctly, place a test order on your Miva Website.

    n) Go Back into MOM on your workstation and select OPTIONS -> ECOMMERCE MANAGEMENT --> eCOMMERCE MANAGERS STATION

    o) Select the first item in the list 1) Miva Download New Orders

    p) Select the button that says PROCESS ONE

    q) If it says Downloaded Orders Successfully go ahead and test to see if it is in MOM

    r) Close this window and go to ORDER --> Looup/Review
and down in the ORDER # section in the bottom portion you should see LAST ORDER# and it should show your order # - If not, go ahead and enter the # it is showing in the box to the left of it called Order# and remove all spaces before and after then hit enter. Your order may be called one thing on MOM but look at the top of the order and it should have your MIVA ORDER #. If it does, you are good to go.

If not, type this in the address bar of a new browser window - in order to get the BATCH of the ORDER in MIVA you will need to do the following:
    a) login to miva
    b) click on orders
    c) you will now see the orders --> on the right top you will see some icons -> click on the furthest right icon and it will display a dropdown menu --> you will see BATCH ID in this list. Select it and it will show you the BATCH ID for that order then...

Type this into a new browser window and put the BATCH ID you see in MIVA for the order at the very end of this QUERY.

    example:
    http://YOUR-DOMAIN-HERE.com/mm5/5.00...ers&batch_id=1

If you see your order GREAT!

Now check it for special characters. UPS is known to show special characters like ® so they will need to be removed from the SHIPPING METHOD in MIVA.

Once you remove the special characters in the shipping method, place a NEW TEST ORDER.

Then go through the process again to download the order starting at item 'M' above. You should now be able to download your order.

This is just one of the many tests you can do to connect Miva to MOM but you will need to run your own tests. If you need help contact me here or contact MOMSUPPORT at [email protected]

    NOTE:
In some cases, you will need to change https to http in order to test a valid connection as the website may be in a testing environment OR the Digital SSL is not valid
