Does Synchro work on Windows 7?

The Synchro Product Page lists its System Requirements: Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista

Yes it should work on Windows 7 just fine.

Windows 7 and QuickBooks 2009 apparently don't play well together. Ordering Quickbooks 2012 now. I trust Synchro will work fine with QB12?

Yes Synchro works with QB12, but it should work fine with Win 7 and 2009 as well.

The current problem is not related to Synchro. i.e. I first need to get QB running on my Windows 7 machine, before introducing Synchro into the equation.

It's with restoring a .QBB file (from my old laptop) on to my new Windows 7 machine running QB09. I get the following error codes…Error codes: (-6144, -301).
Cannot connect to the database.
Internal database error ***ERROR*** Assertion failed: 200505 (10.0.1.3960)
Encrypted table found in encrypted database (page 13589) – transaction rolled back

I also downloaded and tried the QB Company File Diagnostic Tool which did not fix anything.

Update for the benefit of anyone thinking of combining Synchro + QB2009 + Windows 7. I think the Flash Drive I was using was corrupting the .QBB file. Probably purchased QB12 Pro unnecessarily. Oh well, should be good for at least another 3 years.
