Just going over some old emails and this came up. Don't know if it was addressed since the above. Anything new on this visa checkout ability built into core?
We looked into it as its very similar to a project we did for Affirm Payment...but could never get any access to Visa folks who either know what we are talking about or who cared :(
Funny that I was the one who brought this up and am now coming back to it. Store owner just forwarded me an email from Auth.net "Offer Visa Checkout with Your Authorize.Net Account"
Since its launch, Visa Checkout has generated tons of great feedback, while simplifying the payments process for consumers. Today, we're excited to announce that Authorize.Net merchants can now offer Visa Checkout as a payment type for their customers.
Visa Checkout is a free feature of your payment gateway account. Sign up today by logging into the Merchant Interface and following the instructions provided in the Digital Payment Solutions section.
Note: To offer Visa Checkout, some development work may be required. Please contact your developer or shopping cart provider for assistance. If you connect via a shopping cart, you will need to confirm that it supports Visa Checkout as a payment type.
..../yada yada yada/....

So I suspect more store owners that are using Authorize.Net are going to be inquiring about this...
Yes, its frustrating when the right thumb of large corporations don't know what the right thumbnail is up to. I got nothing but quizzical silence when trying to make contact with the visa folk. As I mentioned, Visa Payment has almost the exact structure of the Affirm Payment module, so it wouldn't take much (i.e., the paper work will take longer) to create...but without their input (i.e., money and access) its still a bar too high for any single client. (And its not something we could 'sell' directly in today's world.)
Bruce, I received the following email notice "Offer Visa Checkout with Your Authorize.Net Account" from Authorize.Net. It continues (Maybe the developer link below will point you in the right direction):

Increased Convenience — Visa Checkout saves time and helps reduce shopping cart abandonment by providing a quick and easy checkout process for customers to pay with their account login credentials, rather than entering full payment data.
Expanded Customer Reach — Grow your business with access to the expanding Visa Checkout user base.
Centralized Management — Visa Checkout is fully integrated with the Authorize.Net platform, allowing you to search, view and report on all of your transactions through a single account.
From what I understand that's only via their hosted pay page which is not something we support (sort of like their Apple Pay announcement earlier this year which forgot to mention there's no such thing yet as Apple Pay in the browser).
We currently have no intention of supporting Visa Checkout in the core platform (barring a new huge uptick in market demand) but may support it via our new MivaPay platform coming early next year.
