Google Checkout Bugs in Miva 5?

Hi.

We're planning on implementing GC in January. What bugs/issues do I need to look out for in regards to Google Checkout and Miva Merchant?

I don't mean to be so upfront - but - I've read for a long time about little bugs and am curious which issues/bugs remain and that I should be aware of as a developer.

Maybe - people could streamline their bugs here for easy perusal.

Some shipping modules will not work. If the shipping module presents its initial choices based on the ship to location it won't work because the ship to location is not known at the time they branch off to Google.

Biggest issue I am aware of is the fact that all shipping options are shown regardless of whether they are valid or not. This is supposed to be fixed in a future version

And if the shipping modules do work, using them (Viking's Custom UPS, for example) with Google Checkout currently causes Google Checkout to charge the customer a seemingly random amount for shipping.

If you haven't started using Google Checkout already, I'd hold off for now. There are big bugs that haven't been fixed yet.
The one I described is actually a new problem that we just started seeing at our store a week or so ago. There have been other sporadic problems, as well.

Thank you all - has anybody encountered serious problems with the new Google code, by chance?

We have a new Google Checkout stream in beta right now that will be streamed shortly. Check with Wayne or Jim in support to get a copy of it.

Thanks Rick. We're not immediately seeking this, right we're busy enough with internal 'stuff' - somethings just get pushed back - you can relate to that, right? :)

it should be automatically streamed to your M5 store - check to see if it's only deactivated in your store. If you have Miva Merchant 5 - then it should be there...
