This isn't really a question, I wanted to share my experience with other Miva Users about the Moogle (Google site map) product from Phosphor Media. I hope that Miva will find this post acceptable, if not, I guess they'll delete it.
I started a new Miva store in early May (new domain for re-branding), and used a 301 re-direct from my old site. The 301 re-direct didn't work out quite as anticipated and my google indexing was dropping like a brick (down from 40k pages to only 600). So I decided to remove the 301 re-direct from the old site and basically start over.
After I removed the 301 re-direct, my google indexing all but disappeared. I was REALLY disappointed as I'd worked for several years to obtain my current indexing and page rank (which was between 5-7).
I used the Moogle module which I had purchased from Bruce at Phosphor Media and submitted it to Google on May 25. Today, June 2, I now have almost 18,000 pages in Google's index again -- on a brand new site with only 3 quality in-bound links that aren't even showing up in Google yet!
I still have no page rank -- but I'm confident with some work, I'll get there. I am placing in the number 1 position on a lot of my products and at least on the 1st or 2nd page so far.
The technical assistance I received from Bruce is/was excellent and I would highly recommend this product to anyone running a Miva store -- we also use Merchant Optimizer and block Google's crawl of our Miva store with a robot text file.
It's worked out so much better than expected and I'm THRILLED that in only one week, I'm not only back in Google's index -- but with "in-yer-face" indexing! (giggle)
