    Miva & Google orders mismatched

I received an order last night from my miva store and the payment email from google.

    The miva order showed $71.91
    The google order showed $50.65

The Miva order detail showed duplicate items in the list, for example...
    product A attribute 1
    product B
    product C
    product A attribute 2
    product D
    product A attribute 2
    etc.

The google payment showed no duplicates, I emailed the customer and she did not order/want the duplicates.

I went in to my store and added the products to the basket in the same sort of order and miva combined the duplicate items. Showing a quantity of 2 instead of two entries with a quantity of 1.

The only difference is if the attributes are different the basket will list them as seperate items. However one of the items in the order that was duplicated does not have any attributes.

What is going on here? I tried going to google checkout with my test order and it showed correct quantities for the items. I clicked on edit order, changed the item quantity, went back to google and quantity is correct, I tried again and this time added another item from the product page. it was combined to show quantity of 2, back yo google...correct quantity.

You would think that at least some of these google checkout issues would have been discovered in the beta test.

I am still stumped on this

I asked my host to upgrade my miva engine from 5.04 to 5.06 and they want me to explain the problem...sigh, apollo - need I say more

Is it really that difficult to upgrade from 5.04 to 5.06?

Does anyone have a clue as to why my order details and totals are different?

They shouldnt be giving you any static about updating the engine. They are behind and its known to cause severe performance problems with mivasql (dbf based) stores. Thats all they need to know.

If they wont upgrade, give us a call. We'll be happy to move you and host you on v5.06.

I am assuming however, you are running Merchant v4.x, since you cant even download the google payment module for MM5 unless you have v5.06 of the engine installed.

Re: Miva & Google orders mismatched

I am running miva merchant 5 and mivasql engine is 5.04

I had no problem running the update to install google checkout, set up and I have had 3 transactions use it.

The one thing that I did have a problem with was I tried to put the google checkout button on the first checkout screen and it did not work. So I just made a link to the BASK page using the google checkout image and put that on the customer information page.

Apollo sucks plain and simple...I will move my site if I ever get any sales volume to pay for it.

It is recommended to put the "badge" in the BASK, although you could put it on the PROD page itself too. Google requires the customer be passed to their checkout system before the OINF scree, since they want to control the customer data input.

Sounds like you are in a catch-22. If you're site does not perform well, how can you generate sales?

The best thing I ever did was to drop Apollo as my host. I chose Hostasaurus but I am sure Wolfpaw is just as good. These guys that know what they are doing will move your Miva site for you with NO downtime. Apollo does not know what they are doing and they cost me many hours trying to rectify their mistakes.
