Updates to Miva's MailChimp module

Hi, any update on the update to the MailChimp module to the new API?

We're in the middle of scoping it right now (it's going to be a much more robust implementation). We'll be announcing details at the conference and it'll likely be released in Q2. The old API is still working (just not being updated).

Awesome! I just convinced a store owner to move away from Vertical Response to MailChimp since VR would not / could not do what they were wanting.

That's great news. Will be excellent to get transaction information back in the Mailchimp campaign reports. I didn't realize how much I was relying on that that until it disappeared when Mailchimp moved to their new API.

The new mailchimp module is formally spec'd on our end and will be starting development shortly. This module will ship as part of the core of Miva in 9.0007.

At a high level here are the features it will support:

- MailChimps latest API
- Ability to push all historical data (products, customers, orders) into MailChimp
- Support for MailChimps Abandoned Cart Email Functionality
- Support for MailChimps Product Recommendation Emails
- Ecommerce campaign tracking
- Newsletter signup both as a text box and a checkbox during checkout

MailChimp will be attending MivaCon and will be doing a breakout session talking about their latest features they support and the integration with Miva.
