    Moving Google button?

    Hello,

I've noticed the google payment button is only in the Basket screen and not in the check out screen. It's also not in the drop down list of payment options. Is this normal?

I've tried moving it and did so, but it dissabled the "continue" button in the checkout screen. Has anyone been able to get a working google payment button in the checkout screen?

    TIA :-)

    This is normal.

Google requires the customer be directed into thier payment system before they enter any customer information.

Thus, the basket is the only place the button can go during checkout. However, you can put the Google checkout button on any of your category or product pages.

      Ok Thanks

Adding it to the category or productpages would just require me placing "<mvt:item name="googlecheckout" param="button" />" in the proper location on those pages correct or is there a different code?

You would also need to enable the component under Items in the edit CTGY or edit PROD screens.

            Re: Moving Google button?

I added a "google checkout button image link" below the continue button on the OCST checkout page that links to the basket page. This way if a customer clicks on "checkout" in the nav bar, which takes them to the login, then OCST checkout page, they have a link to follow to the google checkout button on the basket page.

Thats a good idea. I was thinking about doing something similar to that.
