    Reinstalling Synchro - errors

    I had a ticket related to getting my old Synchro license as added this question but thought it might be an easy answer so avoid waiting until Monday to hear back if so.

    We got Synchro back in 2010, didn't work with our setup at that time. I found my license and installed the latest version of Synchro. I updated the module in Miva admin. When I try to Add Store and connect I get an "Unknown Error" and wondering if there are any steps I might have missed - on previous versions there was mention of Synchro being tied to one computer so thought I might need a new license or I might have to remove the online module (now updated) all together and start again?

        Hello habreu,

        That screenshot you posted with the error looks like it can't login to the admin. I would make sure you have synchro 1.76 installed, you can download that exe file here:

        Then make sure the admin URL you plugged in is the full secure admin URL, and that the user you typed in is an administrator account in Miva. It should be a unique user for Synchro, and have 2 Factor auth and Browser verification disabled on that user. We can help with that if you contact TAC at [email protected]

          I was able to add store by disabling the 'add store wizard' and manually entering all the settings

              One more question:

              My test with Synchro went okay and will connect to the real company file and set it up today. For my test I set up Synchro on my workstation. The QB database is on its own server. One thing that happened with the test is that after I ran it everybody lost access to the server and I had to run the QB tool to fix all the connections. I was wondering if this was a fluke, a known issue or if Synchro needs to run on the server housing the database?
