Manage your inventory and sales all in one place
is mentioned here https://www.miva.com/square-payments - is there an ETA? Is this going to sync with Square Retail? I have a store owner that has been asking for a while now.

      Hi, Pysdde aka delcorsets!

Well that sucks - it might be the reason one store owner may move on

lesliekirk As a brick and click business I've been hoping to find an integrated solution for many years.

I'm running a Mac based POS system called Posim (since 2005) that I really like and I'm using Miva (since before it was Miva!) as our e-commerce solution which I also really like, but they run autonomously without any real integration.

Over the years I've put systems into place, mainly manual through daily receiving and closing procedures, to sync sales and inventory between Miva and Posim. It certainly does add more work, but it's just become part of our workflow. Personally, if a good seamless POS/Ecom integration did come along I would be more likely to switch our POS system than drop Miva.. I've invested a lot into custom functionality on our sites that I don't think I could achieve elsewhere, whereas the POS simply runs "out of the box." I guess a lot might also have to do with where the majority of a business's sales come from and what sales channel they've invested the most time in building.

That being said however, although I no longer actively seek out integration solutions (simply not my priority,) I do always keep one eye open for new potential integrated solutions as I hear about them.

        Maybe one day...

The more detailed reason, is their current API's have touchpoints that don't logically add up to our touchpoints and putting something out just to say we did seems foolish and a waste of resources. We do hope that one of these days we can provide a solid, plug and play style integration with Square for those features, but right now it's not imminent.

bheyde1 With that said, I know (I think it was Andreas at PCInet) built some scripts that achieve inventory sync with Square, it's not realtime, but very close. I'll ask Brennan to chime in, he'll know who wrote those scripts and how to inquire about purchasing them for your client.
          Thanks,

Yes PCI Net has an integration from Miva to Square to sync basic product data (inventory, price) as well as orders. Its in production on about a half dozen sites and works well. If you need a stop gap until we build something I would reach-out to them.

Thanks Brennan for mentioning our solution! We do have an app which syncs products between Square and Miva. It also syncs inventory with one location in Square, Orders and customers are created in Square when order is placed in Miva.

With all the new API's being added to the next release of MM10 - will this now be feasible? I have and have had clients that need and want (wanted) this.

Last time we looked in order to do something we found acceptable the problem was on their end (their API's weren't complete enough) so nothing new at this time
