    Apple Pay and the UK

Any UK based store owners out there using Apple Pay? Are you or did you have any issues with the app not correctly showing the currency symbol? It was suggested that perhaps using Auth.net might resolve the issue. They were trying to use the new PayPal Commerce (PayPal has been doing a good job reaching out to it's customers to get them off the obsolete PayPal modules) but ran up against some issues with VAT Tax. They bumped up to Braintree (with it's higher rates) just to get their credit card processing going again. With Braintree they were able to add Apple Pay but that's when the currency symbol issue popped up. It was showing the US dollar sign instead of the British pound sign. So I was just wondering what other stores based in the UK are doing to meet all the new PSD2 compliance issues and the 3D Secure thing?

We don't currently support ApplePay in anything other than USD. It's on our list to add in an upcoming update.

lesliekirk , you should be aware of this because the issue will probably come up for your client too in the near future. There's currently a problem with the Braintree module and 3D Secure when processing Discover cards. All customer attempts to pay with Discover will be rejected if 3D Secure is enabled. Every. Single. One.

I filed a bug report on this here, but I haven't heard if Miva has plans to address this. I certainly hope so because I need to have 3D Secure enabled and it's becoming a problem that every customer attempt at payment with Discover is rejected.

Thank you for that heads up. Currently they do not accept Discover. The 3D Secure requirement is mucking up a few things for sure.
