Best Payment Gateway for small business?

I've been using PayPal in my Miva store for years.
Their new system is tying up my money for as much as 3 weeks or more. I'm a sole proprietor/small family business.

I'd like to switch to a different gateway for processing credit cards and wondered what others are using.
I'm on Miva 10.06.00
