    WordPress

Not sure when WordPress became a Miva Technology Partner but WOOHOO! Question, are there any "new" guidelines for directory installation? I have an SEO "expert" that insists it be installed in the "root" directory. I know that there is a configuration that will do a redirect to make it appear that the blog is in the root but keeps all the core files out of the root and in a directory. I'm trying to find out if I can use this configuration.

That is not a supportable configuration. Wordpress should not be installed at the root of a site which also contains an ecommerce application.

What if all the WordPress files reside outside the root but the config file makes it "look like" the installation is in the root? I have used this configuration in the past
