You might want to check HTML that was entered in text area boxes.
This likes to get clipped and can cause all kinds of weird effects.

Next you might want to remove info from text area boxes that are unique
    to
this screen to see if you can find it by elimination.

It is running OUI, with a few modules installed... It seems to be
skipping the final closing tags and repeating from the top again.

No problem, Terry. We all get frustrated from time to time.

The folks on this list really do go out of their way to try and help you.
You may not always get the answer you want, but people really are generous

    Centering the popimg module

    Florian,

I tried to reach you directly via the email you provided but I kept getting
a "returned address unknown". Anyways, I hope you see this email on the
    board...

What you did is exactly what I want to do, including the "Close" button that
you have on the popup window. What I have right now is the popimg module
from Design Extend. Do you think you can advise me on how to modify the
module to get my popup window looking like yours? I didn't quite get what
you mentioned below. I'd really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Micheal,

I know what you mean. It took me foreever to figure it out, but ith the help
of this forum, it finally worled. What I did was create a generic html page
in the pop up and inserted some miva tags to call the image:

    <MvCOMMENT>*********Original that I took out*******
    <A TITLE = "enlarge" HREF =
    "JavaScript:PopupImage('graphics/00000001/large/&[Products.d.code].jpg')">
    <IMG SRC = "&[ Products.d.image ]" border = "0"></A>

    </MvCOMMENT>

    <A TITLE = "enlarge" HREF =
    "JavaScript:PopupImage('imgpopup.mv?p=&[Products.d.code]')">
    <IMG SRC = "&[ Products.d.image ]" border = "0"></A>

Anyways, take a look at my site and how I did it. If you want to do it like
that, I can give you more info on how to set it up.

    Hi,

Is there anyway to center the picture to the window that pops up that
appears upon clicking it? In other words, if you go to

    <A HREF ="http://www.pookypoo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Produ">http://www.pookypoo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Produ</A>
    ct_Code=006000C-HB191

and click on the gift basket image, you will notice that the actual image is
not centered to the pop up window. Will I be able to center it across the
window (I want to keep the window size how it is) and if yes, how can I
    accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

Not the with the way the popup is coded....I'd change this function to
actually write the html popup page with JS, and then open it. that way
you could have anything you wanted in the popup.

one one product showing in each cat?

    Hello Felisa,

Jeremy is correct that when you run Merchant's pack routine, it goes through
and tries to pack all the databases in your store. If the timeout is set too
low for it to complete this task, then the process times out and doesn't
    complete.

We offer a module called dbRepair, that attempts to get around this issue by
allowing the Admin to select which databases she/he wants to pack and do a
selective pack on them. We find that this can get around the timeout issue
in the majority of cases. BUT, if you have a database that by itself will
take time to pack, longer than what you have available in your Miva/Server
timeout settings, it won't pack the selected database either.

I'm just throwing this out, because dbRepair might be the thing that will
help you here. It all depends on just how large your largest database is and
the timeouts settings you have to work with.

You might want to discuss this issue with our Priority Support Department to
see whether they can offer you some solutions on this issue.

    Good luck with this problem!

The only way I have been able to deal with this problem is to
download the store (all the data and all the script files). Then
set it up on your PC in Miva Mia and pack it off line. Then you
have to upload all the data files to the server.

    Felisa,

I do not think that you are understanding. The timeout setting basically is
a setting in the Miva Empresa configuration that allows a certain number of
seconds for a task to complete. If it does not complete in that amount of
time, the server "timesout." (Otherwords, gives up.)

If you have a lot of database files that need to be packed then it can take
a very long time. If it
takes longer than the timeout setting, it will timeout.

Why do you say that it will timeout? Help me understand, because this
problem has been with me for over a week...hence the backup of the store.

one one product showing in each cat?

Well, do you know what they increased your settings to?
I mean if a server takes too long to pack, unless it is set
EXTREMELY high or at infinity, then it will still timeout.

    Jeremy,

I got an Internal Server Error I assumed that this was a timeout issue, but
my webhost increased my timeout settings. Do you think I'm going to have to
take down the store and start all over again? I mean, that's what I feel
like I've been doing this whole backup thing. I was using Miva Mia to pack
the database and delete about 6 thousand products to bring the store down to
8000 products. My host suggested that I buy another Miva Merchant license
and split the store into two, because it's not the timeout settings, it's
the use of CPU...(What do you think, eh?)

ugh. Any Any Any suggestions would be really nice right about now. Our
store has been live and picking up (now losing) quite a few customers for
us. We really can't afford to be down any longer. I've been struggling
with this for over a week....

    felisa.

However, only one item is appearing from my viewpoint. Here's a link to
