    Hi all,

I have two sites where the upgrade was done and the headers and
footers now appear as options for categories and two sites where
the upgrades were supposedly done and the headers and footers
don't appear as an option , and the upgrade wizard say no new
    updates are available.

We need a way to be able to tell for sure if the upgrade patches
have been applied and how to force them to be applied if they
    haven't.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Jeff,

When you click on Domain Settings ---> Upgrade Settings, you can click
on Review Installed Updates. The newest release should read Production
Release 1, with patches for Miva Payment, CyberSource, and Production
    Release 1.

FYI, if you are seeing headers and footers, I believe you are most
likely running a patched older version of 5.00. The headers and footers
were actually omitted from the packaged PR1 of MM5. (to be added back
    in at a later date)

Are you saying that the current MIVA Merchant 5.x release does
not have headers and footers for each category?

        • upgrade only THINKS it's upgraded

I will stick to a comparison of two sites to make this easier.

Site 1 reports the following patches:

          CyberSource ICSv2 Payment Services (5.0001) (module-ics2-1) =20
          Miva Payment (5.0001) (module-mvpay-1) =20
          Production Release 1 (production-1) =20

When I go to edit a category there are the following tabs
          available:
Category, Category Title, Category Tree, Header & Footer,
          Products

Site 2 reports the following patches:

          CyberSource ICSv2 Payment Services (5.0001) (module-ics2-1) =20
          Miva Payment (5.0001) (module-mvpay-1) =20
          Production Release 1 Update (production-1) =20

When I go to edit a category there are the following tabs
          available:
Category, Category Title, Category Tree, Products

Because site #2 didn't' have the header and footer before the
upgrade was run and still doesn't have it, it was my assumption
that the upgrade didn't install something correctly but thinks
          that it did.

I naturally want to figure out a way to get the headers and
footers to work properly on site #2 but also, and more
importantly, how can one check and determine if the auto upgraded
software really upgraded? And if it is found that it didn't'
really upgrade is there a way to force it to run the upgrade
          again.
