Why Levels will not display search results for product code searches?

I"m going to have to open ticket too. When changed things per the https://www.miva.com/template-changes to make the facets not get lost on paging... now the search results don't display any results, it just displays a form. Odd thing though on the SRCH page, I do still get the drop down suggested items. I NEED to fix this somehow.

The search function on Levels is a bit custom, however it should still pull from the standard Miva search fields.I have tested a couple of site built upon Levels, and there does seem to be a little hit-and-miss when it comes to search by code, but I cannot pinpoint where the confusion might lie.
