For the past few years I've asked the Miva folks that they not schedule this during the peak of hurricane season. Unfortunately, us folks in the SE US coastal areas are not big enough numbers to matter so the date remains the first week in Sept. It appears that on the one year anniversery of Katrina, the folks in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi are going to get slammed again.
Now I have a conference registration and two airline tickets that will go unused. I don't think Miva gives refunds. :-( The airline will give a partial so I only lose a few hundred there. I don't think I'll be going to any more Miva conferences unless they move the date to a little more hospitable weather week.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc

And it is peak season. I don't think I've ever paid as much for an airline ticket as this time around.Best,

Looks like we have a storm that can't make up its mind - now it's heading up the Atlantic coast - who knows what it will do tomorrow. I'll be in around noonish.Leslie
