Hismumma,

im not seeing that in my store, how are you changing them from active to inactive? when i do that from the edit product screen or the products batchlist i see the product on the category at runtime right away.

Hi Eric,

Catalog->Products->I select the product to go into it->I click the Active slider and hit update. I go check the categories on the site and never see the item populate until I go back to the admin panel and re-sort the products in each category. That's the only way i've found to solve the problem at least.

hmm, that's the same process I'm doing and not seeing the same issue. you might want to open a service ticket with support so they can take a look.

another thing to try would be to run the "Delete Cached Product List Entries" after marking the product as active.

I believe this should be considered a bug... If fedex web services is installed but no configuration is done (account number not entered etc.)

It shows all fed ex shipping options available for free when using the paypal buy now button.

Question about the new ability to sort product list by a custom field ("Products can now be sorted by the value of a custom field.") from the latest release. Is there a way to treat the custom field values as numeric? Appears that it treats the values as text. So 1203 shows before 20. When sorted ascending.

The new swatches feature ability on ctgy, srch, plst has what I think are a couple issues. It doesn't actually take inventory in account like the attribute machine did so if you potentially have 10 colors available but only two colors actually in stock it shows all 10 swatches on ctgy, srch, plst pages so it's not really taking inventory into account...

Next problem is it is for some reason reliant on displaying price Bug? Once you uncheck price the swatches disappear and this is a problem if you are trying to display prices using a fragment.

Collections is an awesome addition.
But I noticed we can't set filters to search custom fields when they are multi text. Those are not showing up in the drop list.

Interesting - we've occasionally (rarely, but a few times,) had orders come through where a shipper selected FedEx Ground (or maybe FedEx Home Delivery?) with a zero cost. I could never figure out how customers were able to get a zero cost shipping option for a FedEx service.. I wonder if it's related.

This is not a bug with the software or Shadows. The Shadows framework ships with placeholder categories. When you install the framework (on any branch) it will add the placeholder categories to the store.

Let me try to rephrase this. I know about the placeholder categories when you apply Shadows to any branch. I was NOT applying Shadows to any branch; I had run the Miva update on sites that already have Shadows installed on a branch. I've had to remove these demo categories from 3 sites now (that I removed them from when Shadows had been initially applied). On the last site, I noticed that the creation date of these demo categories was the exact same date that the Miva update was run.
