    Paypal IPN

I feel kind of stupid because I know the Paypal IPN has been discontinued but I still have it installed because I get an error message below when I try to uninstall it:
ErrorModule 'PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments Pro (Discontinued)' is in use by one or more orders, and cannot be removed. Module 'PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments Pro (Discontinued)' is in use by one or more Store Morph Items. The store has been configured not to allow removal of modules used by Store Morph Items. Below is a list of the Items that reference Module 'PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments Pro (Discontinued)' and the pages on which they are referenced: Item 'PaypalErrorMsg': Checkout: Shipping/Payment Selection (OSEL) Checkout: Payment Information (OPAY) Basket Contents (BASK) Checkout: Basket Empty (BSKE) Item 'PaypalExButton': Basket Contents (BASK) Checkout: Shipping/Payment Selection (OSEL) Checkout: Payment Information (OPAY) Checkout: Basket Empty (BSKE) Item 'PaypalEditAddr': Checkout: Shipping/Payment Selection (OSEL) Checkout: Payment Information (OPAY) Basket Contents (BASK) Checkout: Basket Empty (BSKE) Item 'PaypalDisblAdr': Basket Contents (BASK) Checkout: Basket Empty (BSKE)

What do I need to do so I can totally uninstall it?

Also, I received the following email from PayPal today, and I don't understand what they are talking about. I got a PayPal order yesterday 8/23/22 so not sure what this means. I did go into my PayPal account and changed the IPN from Merchant2 to mm5.
    Hello, Kathleen Steimle Hermes

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    http://www.misskatescreations.com/Merchant2/paypalp.mvc

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Below are my Payment Settings in my Miva store. I did have a priority setting of '1' for PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments but changed it to '0'. Also when I checked the PayPal Commerce Platform, my PayPal account wasn't linked. I have since linked it. What have I done wrong or have I corrected the email problem sent by PayPal?

You are probably getting the error because of past (undeleted) orders that used the module. If you don't want to delete the orders it might be easier to start off by deactivating to module. Another step if you don't want to deactivate the module is you can "Exclude" it from displaying. In the Payment Settings, select the PayPal associated with the PayPal Express Checkout. Then select Exclude in the popup screen. That will prevent the method from displaying at checkout.

You can also unassign and remove the items related to the older PayPal method from the checkout screens.

      Miss Kate,

Contact Miva Support if you need assistance or have issues uninstalling the module.

The following URL is failing because the URL structure has changed from including 'Merchant2' to '/mm5/'. More than likely PayPal is configured with a return URL that can be removed.

Thanks for the post. Yes, I already figured it out and it stopped sending me the error message.
