reCAPTCHA on Checkout: Payment Information Page

The reCAPTCHA box on the payment information page is at the top. It resets after about a minute. Many customers take longer than a minute to complete the payment info. So by the time they are ready to hit submit, the reCAPTCHA box is no longer checked. It is also not visible anymore because they have scrolled to the bottom of the page. They try this several times and then email me saying the form doesn't work and they can't place an order.

I would like to move that box to the bottom of the page (see photo) but can't figure out how to do it. Does anybody know how or if this can be done?

That's the old reCaptcha v2, I'd recommend you stop using it (it's not really helpful these days anyway) and install the reCaptcha v3 module.

OK. Thanks, Rick. I have v3 installed. Didn't realize that was v2 on the payment page.

It's possible I'm wrong, so check with Support as well

Don't let this go to your head, but I think you were right. I deactived V2 and it went away. V3 is set to trigger after so many failed attempts. I'll keep an eye on it.

I understand that v2 is old, but can the installation via the Payment Settings be used on other pages? It's needed for an MMUI store.

Bots have a 100% success rate defeating v2, so I don't know the answer to your question off hand, however I'm not sure it's worth your time to figure it out.

Understood, and yes, I know I should convince this store owner it's time to update from MMUI...

Question for you Rick Wilson and the support team (as a stopgap measure), what about Cloudflare?

We've had CloudFlare for years, and in the last couple of years some bots manage to occasionally get through.
                    Thank you, Bill Davis

Did you use it with MMUI or does the UI not matter with Cloudflare?

lesliekirk I do not recall, I was not the person who set this up, and it was a few years back. If you tell me what you need I would be glad to share it with you.

Cloudflare is not UI dependent. It's at the network level essentially.
                          Thanks,
