Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

    Rick,

A follow-up some 4 stores on other hosts run on Miva Engine 4.14 will the exporter work on this Miva Engine? What are the engine requirements for these tools.

    Thanks!

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

      Hi Guys,

A follow-up on another store trying to export the catalog upon import of the provisioning file you have entries like this.

      07/16/2010 16:26:17 1083 Category_Footer Unable to load category 'MININPUT'
      07/16/2010 16:26:17 1087 Category_Header Unable to load category 'MINICONNECT'

      07/16/2010 16:26:17 1285 Product_Header Unable to load product 'FS007RJ11'
      07/16/2010 16:26:17 1289 Product_Footer Unable to load product 'FS007RJ11'

Curious why it would not like to import the Cat header/footers and Product header/footers this is an OUI 4 store and the oui framework exported ok and imported good.

Also these categories do exist with the codes that match up.

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

        Eric,

I spoke to development and the catalog will not transfer headers and footers for categories or products for OpenUI stores. I was told the Framework will transfer these over but the catalog will not at this time.

        Thanks,

          Wayne,

Ok thanks for the heads-up this is very good information to know.

This is a BIG drawback for customers as many customer's have put headers/footers into the categories and/or products. Can this be added at some point?

          Thanks!

            Eric,

It does transfer over via the framework but not the catalog and I've been told it will be added to the catalog at a later time.

              Wayne,

Right yes the overall headers/footers under store name do come over at this point, but have a few customers that have customized category headers and footers and also have tweaked their product headers/footers per product basis.

              Thanks!

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

We'll get back to updating the Catalog Exporter/Importer to add OUI Headers and Footers for Products and Categories, but it'll happen after our next feature release which will be out in a few weeks.
                Thanks,

What about MMUI 4x store; are the category headers and footers in the catalog or framework export?

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

Is there any way to edit the Framework file then???

We have a CSSUI store and can't use the framework fiel, but we do need the headers and footers.

any suggestions would be great. Every time we try to open up the framework file in a text editor, it is just garbled.

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

The catalog expoter uses XML not the framework.

Bill, I'm not sure but i think it does.

                        Bill,

The upgrade5.mv/c tool should export the MMUI portions of these fine instead of using one of these 4 beta tools.

These beta tools from what we have seen are for OUI and for MMUI you can still use the stock upgrade5 that was out prior. Ofcourse you may have to massage the provide.xml that is created.

Re: OUI/MMUI Store Framework Exporter Beta

I'm not able to install the Framework package in any store, test or live. It exports fine from the v4 store, but when trying to apply the framework in the 5.5 MMUI store, the last line under "Framework Images" is always the directory the 5.5 store is installed in. Usually /mm5/ but could be /Merchant2/ or /store/ or /whatever/ The v4 store is installed a different directory, so the Framework package has inserted the new store directory on its own for all of the images.

                          e.g.

                          Framework Images

                          /mm5/graphics/00000001/order.gif
                          /mm5/graphics/00000001/continue.gif
                          /mm5/

If I leave "Overwrite Images" unchecked, it says, "Failed to Apply Framework: 1 images already exist"

If I check "Overwrite Images", it says "Failed to Apply Framework: Failed to copy /mm5/ to /mm5/"
