    Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

I just upgraded and find that I cannot edit my attributes.
When I go to a specific product (in Admin mode) and click "edit here" for a specific attribute, nothing happens. I have tried this on several different products with same result.
Is there a fix for this?

I had the same problem, refreshing the page (F5) fixed it, I think clearing cookies and all temporary files after doing the update is also a good idea.

You're right- just refreshing the page (deleting the cache) seems to have made the dif! Thanks!

When my customers go to select shipping at check out in Internet Explorer the full window does not open allow the view of shipping prices! This is at different screen resolutions and only in Explorer. But an issue as sadly most people still use Explorer!

I have a strange thing happening. One of my products is coming up as a price of $0.00 once it's added to the cart even though there is pricing attached to the item. This is the second time that it's happened to me. The first time I deleted and rebuilt the page, which fixed it. But, it's happening again. Is there a known issue with this? I'm running Production Release 7 Update 9 Miva Merchant Engine v5.06

              Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

is it a variant? do you have it set to sum of parts and 0.00 price on the variant when you didn't want it get prices from the variants?
or maybe you normally use sum of parts and the parent doesn't have a price... while the variant does. In that case verify sum of parts is selected for that particular variant. (it is possible for some variant to not be sum of parts and to be the base price, they can be mixed up).

Parent has a price, there are variants, not all change the price, some are free as an add on. The page has had no changes made to it in a couple of months and we've been selling the item, suddenly today it was brought to my attention that the price processed at 0.00 for someone trying to buy, I verified that it is indeed happening. Here is the product that it's happening to <http://www.lollarguitars.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LGP&Product_Co de=246&Category_Code=humbucker-pickups>

It's really hard to tell from just looking at your store product page.

are you using inventory variants? if so, what setting are you using on each variant.
I'm assuming you are using inventory variants, but the rest I can't tell from the customer point of view.

Your add on prices being displayed in the option drop down aren't adding either. So I"M guessing you are not using the setting that let's the attribute feature do the prices. You are using either the base product price or sum of parts.

if you are doing this with variants and using sum of parts... you need to add those extra fees to the price of the variant. The attributes added on price is ignored with 'sum of parts'. ALL the variants tied to a product need to be set do the same thing.
The store can't get some prices from attributes and some from the variants from the same parent product display screen
                  ... at least I Don't think so.

to confirm that, you should submit a ticket with miva merchant support.

I'd like to know. at least mixing attribute controlled pricing with sum of parts pricing has never worked for me.

I deleted all of the info from all of the tabs within that specific product in my control pane, then went back and re-entered identical data (that I had copied / pasted into a text doc) and it works now. Literally changed nothing but entering the info again and pressing update fixed the problem.

                      Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

Platform is VM 5.12, PR8, Update 8, MMUI, Checkout by Amazon issue.

-We are getting incorrect shipping charges.
-I haven't found any documention that mentions Amazon Payments is not used to calculate shipping charges

When customer clicks Checkout by Amazon (CBA) button, basket is transferred to Amazon Payments as expected. Customer logs in to Amazon and selects 1 of 4 shipping options, which were mapped from MM CBA module. Amazon Payments does a callback to the MM store to request the shipping charge. That charge is returned to Amazon Payments and customer can complete the order.

Problem happens in the callback to the MM store to get the shipping charge.
-This suggestion likely solves the problem: Need an option to disable the callback to MM and allow Amazon Payment to calculate shipping charges. I am told Amazon Payments API supports this function. The Amazon Payment shipping option are configurable. In this store's case, valid shipping options can be made to match the MM store's scenario.

-In the current CBA module the breakdown is here: We(I) have some custom SMT on the OSEL page to filter shipping conditions so valid shipping options are presented to the customer. During the Amazon callback these options are not filtered. I don't know if there is a way to execute this OSEL SMT code. Example: in a normal session (not CBA), if the weight is less than 1 lb and the shipping location is the USA and less than $225.00 the customer can select a $4 shipping option. Otherwise, this option isn't even available to the customer. A Std option of $9 is presented. When customer uses CBA, the customer selects Standard Shipping at Amazon Payments and MM returns the $4 payment regardless of weight, location and subtotal price.

The callback request for shipping charge is finding values in the configured shipping module in MM. Because the shipping module is a mix of weight and cost, we are using the Flat Rate module and Emporium Plus World Zone module to supply available valid shipping options.

Please help, since update to PR9 our USPS shipping is way out of whack. No matter how many items a customer buys they are only charged shipping (first class) for one item. Orders that are 2.5 pounds being charged 2.07.

Hmm. That is definitely not normal behavior. I suggest you open a support ticket for the issue and mention my name (Ryan Guisewite) so the ticket will be brought to my attention and I can dive into the issue further using information specific to your store.

We are having an issue with having product inventory cleared whenever a product is edited from the product list screen. This does not occur when editing products in the individual product screen - just when we click the "edit here" on the product list and have the basket inventory field displayed in the list. This does not seem to happen when the basket inventory field is not displayed. We are on R8 Update 10 with Empressa V5.19.

BTW this thread is very very old, there's a PR8 Bugs thread. I've emailed your post to support, but for posterity I'm going to lock this thread down now so people can no longer post to it.
                              Thanks,
