Im not sure what workaround David made to fix this but I can ask him and see if it resolves the issue.

Hi Bill: I'd be interested in seeing if you see this same problem on our mobile sites with android: www.rvparksupplies.com is a MMUI store, www.orange-traffic-cones.com is a CSSUI store.

My android version is 2.3.4 which should not be affected by that thread. That post says 2.3 or better is ok. Perhaps there is an issue with type of Geotrust certificate I have.

Larry,

I tried orange-traffic-cones.com. I filled in the customer info. Clicked continue to the OSEL. Selected paypal. Clicked continue and was returned to the OCST page. I could not get to OPAY.

Continued. I just tried the rvparksupplies. The same thing happened. At OSEL click continue and it goes back to OCST. Cannot checkout.

Hi Bill thanks for trying those 2 sites.
Yesterday after starting to follow this thread, I checked the rvparksupplies mobile site with my son-in-law's android phone. He was signed in as me and was able to get to OPAY successfully.
Sounds like something wacky with the android software?

I went to the sprint store to ask about this a little while ago. The browser settings look ok to them. They said I could download a different browser from the built in android browser. Since most shoppers are not likely to do that, I'd rather solve this issue for the millions of stock android users.

Which android phone did you test with? What version of android?

I don't suppose you could test emporiumplus.com/SFNT.html with your son-in-law's phone?

I wish a few others would test their android phones and post the results and which phone they used.

I went to your rvparksupplies again. I selected paypal and it failed. If I selected any of the other payment options it went to the OPAY page. Which paypal are you using?

We ran through a series of tests on Bill's mobile site as well as a bunch of other mobile sites we have built.

We tested in:

Safari on PC (it allows you to change the user agent to mimic a mobile phone)
Iphone 4 - Safari
Droid2 with Dolphin HD browser

If you're using paypal and it is not working for you the issue is most likely you are entering in a fake address. Paypal has an address validation check where if the address is not correct it will kick you back to OCST. There is suppose to be an error message there but it is missing from the mobile framework.

In all other scenarios we were able to get all the way to opay on all sites and on all platforms.

Were fairly confident Bill's issue is isolated to his phone. If someone is seeing something different with their phone please let me know so we can dig into it.

Hi Brennan: Did you happen to test our www.rvparksupplies.com site? While Bill had a problem with PayPay on it, I don't see the problem when testing with desktop Safari/Develop/../iphone. Would appreciate any feedback you found on the Android tests.

OFF TOPIC: While working on this "problem?" with Bill, I think I may have found a problem with the mobile site that Miva developed for our rvparksupplies.com site. Appears on both the OSEL & OPAY pages that the basket items foreach loop is terminmated before the foreach loops for optopns and charges. I've corrected this in our two mobile pages; OSEL & OPAY.

Hi Brennan: Correction on that foreach loop comment above.
I've actually corrected it on our two other mobile sites that I created using the Miva mobile solution for RVParksupplies. I have not yet corrected it on the RVParksupplies.com mobile site.

The paypal validation explains what I saw on rvparksupplies. I retested that site with a valid address and it works. But it does not work on my store. I still get sent back to the OCST with the message that the session has timed out. Since I can get to OPAY on rvparksupplies with a correct address means the browser is ok. Could it be the type of security certificate that I have that others don't?

Hey Bill -

The session timeout error you are seeing usually happens when the checkout cookie cannot be set. This gets set after the customer submits OCST .. if it is not presnent when they submit OSEL it sill kick you back to OCST. Can you output that cookie and see if it is being set for you? The name of the cookie is mm5-[Store Code]-checkout-session
