Can you please help me- my site is down!
I upgraded my Cust Fields mod and then upgraded to Core 17. Since then I've had a whole heap of problems:
1. First, all products appeared on every single page; and every product was priced at $20 (aargh I'll go bust at this rate!)
2. After rolling back my site, i THINK pre-upgrade, now customers can;t checkout; they get this message:

I've emailed my host (Hostasaurus) and also Scot Ranney - but I need urgent help please from somebody!!

An update: Hostasuarus (trusty Hostasaurus- as always!) is rolling my site back to pre-core-17 install. Let's hope that resolves all the issues. Methinks I will not jump in so fast next time there's an update... having your store offline for 2 days is NOT fun...

There are some instances when using the arrows was easier then the number based sort when updating the list item sort order. It would be nice if both were available for sorting products and attributes.

The Category Tree item is no longer added twice when a new store is created.

I've seen the duplicate cattree item on three client stores now. All have been upgraded to core-17.

Is there a .mvc file we can run to fix this

I have also had major problems with the core 17 release; main ones were:
1. All products appearing under ALL categories
2. All prices changing to $20 in main PROD pages only (OK in PROD detail I think- didn't check them ALL)
3. Scotmail mod not working and causing error pages for customers and for me trying to access Scotmail admin;
4. Checkout not working, couldn't get to first checkout page.

I do have quite a few mods in my store. Any ideas what might have caused these errors? I'm reluctant to upgrade until I can rest assured my site is not going to be down again for 2 days. Any ideas anyone please?

Jean,

I think you should open a support ticket with us, we'll make a backup of your store and attempt the upgrade for you offline so we can see what caused that. All 4 of those errors are one's I have NOT been seeing with Core 17.

I also highly encourage you to reach out to to the developer of that scottsmail module. We haven't seen anyone have issues with the module and core-17 yet. He may have a fix for you.

Scot had replied to turn it (Scotmail) off temporarily, but I didn't need to -- -- because the rollback solved everything...

Looks like the Emporium Plus module has been affected too. It just hangs. Any updates for that module?

Your host rolled you back but you still have not applied core-17. Yes this gets rid of the errors but this doesn't exactly fix the problem.

This is true - but I gather now that trusty MIVA MERCHANT support is going to check it out for me and try to determine the problem - how's THAT for 2 top-notch companies (Miva Merchant Support along with Hostasaurus) -?!

Just wanted to say thank you to Rick and Laura at Miva for their assistance with getting my issues squared away. I've been a long time Miva user and I can remember the old days where it was like pulling teeth to even get a non automated, no cost human response from them. That is definatle not the case since the new ownership.
Thanks again for all your help and fast responses.
And on a side note I have switched over to Hostasaurus and it is an outstanding service, fast servers and great support! I highly recommend them to anyone using Miva on a shared or vps account.
I seriosuly am pleasantly surprised at the much faster server and page loads. Should have switched a long time ago!

HAH- it turns out there's a simple (??) cause of this problem. Thanks to Jim at Miva: if you have SITEMAP enabled under your CTGY page ITEMS list- you'll get the problem of ALL products showing in all categories; the sitemap is trying to show everything to spiders and bots. so, simply UNCHECK the SITEMAP in your CTGY items!!
