I've been off the radar for a while (geek burnout...) sooo this Wombat stream - generally are there any known show stoppers seen with many of the popular mods people are using at this point in addition to shipworks and stoneedge issues ?
Thought I might go ahead and take the wombat streams since our migration is not live yet
Good to see you. We've been testing Wombat with all the third party modules we have copies of in development and I believe the only 2 that have any issues today are Shipworks and StoneEdge.
Inventory at the Attribute Level should be in the beta end of this coming week and that could have some issues with modules, we'll see.
Finally it's worth noting that the new CSS UI validates. Go run the validator against store.yellowtee.com a completely stock installation of Wombat.

However, it does not seem to have the functionality to check tyour order by email and order # or some other variation, it seems you have to have an account in order to check history. Not sure if I'm missing something or that is really the case. Not very useful for me if you have to have an account. Being a seasonal once a year visit type store most people don't set up an account.
You're correct at this time but that's a very good suggestion (and one of the reasons this is in beta). I'll post shortly about if we'll be able to add it to the release.
I have only a live store so I can't test the beta. What does the order status look like? Is it functional/useful?
I have used quite a few and the Miva one is very nice. I have been passing on some ideas to Rick on how to improve it based upon some other packages. I think it is a really nice option right out of the box and I am impressed on how well it works so early on in a beta stage.
The customer order status thing is included in the new release? I've been using an add on module which works fine for order history, but there's still no status (order placed/shipped, etc.). A customer order status built into Miva would be ideal.
I'm more interested in the administrative side, because as is, it's very difficult to track which orders have been filled and not been filled, and it's difficult to notify customers. Right now, we're doing an ad-hoc system using email notifications, but our emails are still not working from Amazon Checkout orders, so order fulfillment is a real mess for us right now.
yes, it is part of Wobat. it gives you full control over orders now, including the status, address changes, adding or remove items from the order, and more. I like the fact you can print off USPS and UPS labels with it.
The admin side is very nice (IMHO). I'm hoping we'll have a video from Chuck within the week, but otherwise I'll look at scheduling a webinar to demonstrate it.
