      You are going to have to check the API version of merchant inside your modules. If it is LT 5.6 you need to use the old shipaddress. If GE then use the new. You have no idea what version the store owner has. So modules that are not streamed as part of merchant, should have both cases in them otherwise someone who has not upgraded merchant will have issues with your module. Someone buying a module at mivacentral (or wherever) cannot choose between 5.0 or 5.5 or wombat. They get one module version. It has to be compatible with all versions of merchant when possible. If not, then they will have to get the old version from you.

      Oh, in some cases you can use the technique Jim referenced above. However, that won't work for modules that have basic layout changes, e.g. a new column in the order export for the addr2 field.

            Would there be a reason that orders don't show up in the new order processing (only legacy) under the Wombat Beta?

              We've seen this in one other person who upgraded to the beta. We're researching why it happened, but we found that if you add a new order under Wombat, all the orders should then show up.

                I tried that, too. I am in beta with all the updates, placed test orders and they only show up under legacy. Didn't seem to work for me.

                  Can you have the site restored to before you updated to Wombat? I had to place a couple of orders before running the update to Wombat. We're still not sure what caused the problem or why placing another couple of orders helped.

                    This actually happened in my store as well as far as old orders not going into the new wombat order processing. I just assumed it to be normal since new orders worked with it.

                      Well my NEW orders don't show up in there. My host wants $35 to restore the site (DOT COM HOST) ... sure doesn't seem right to pay for a bug that is in the software. If I delete my store and start over that seems like a hassle, but I do have all my code that I can just copy and paste -- and my site is in Beta anyway.

                      BUT, this makes me nervous about going live and finding out I have to restore or redo my site again down the road.

                      Any thoughts?

                        Jason,

                        Can you please open a ticket so we can look at it? Call 858-490-2570 and ask for Jim McCormick.

                        Also as long as the store is working ok, you'll be able to keep streaming back to the release version.

                        As for bugs in the beta, that's why we recommend making a backup before going to the beta, this would not happen in the release version. If you're stuck and need to restore from the backup, I'll talk to dotCOM and see if we can help.

                          Thanks for the info and I'm definitely not stuck. Please don't take my last post as hateful, except for the charge part, lol. Hard to not come off as such simply texting.                                 Login securely or login non securely and remove all the secure configuration. You'll see your orders. For some reason the secure call to the module that allows for all the order data is being refused when you're logged in non securely. Development is aware of this and they will be looking into how to correct it in a future beta release.
