A patch that addressed runtime bugs with Customer Ship To Bill To fields has been deployed.

It's available through the MM5 Streaming Update system.

Updated my MIVA Store, it washed away my store, all items are gone..
How could this happens?

I updated our Miva store and got error at the end.
then when i log back in my setup was gone..

We have been successful when running the updates on other stores without any problems. I have a few questions below but encourage you to contact us in the morning.

Do you happen to know what the error was after you ran the update?

Do you happen to know what Database API the store was using (MivaSQL or MySQL)?

* If you were using MySQL, as the Database API, have you contacted your host provider to make sure MySQL is running?

I think it's worth mentioning in the patch that it still chooses your store default as the default country if the customer is creating an account or checking out without creating an account. While this may "work as intended", an option to turn this off would be ideal. Currently we manually edit the database to remove our store's country because we deal with a lot of international customers and we don't want to be US-centric.

What was the error? I have not seen this occur on any updates I've done.

Maybe you got it fixed? Your site looks normal currently, albeit slow, the add to basket took me about eight seconds.

We worked with this customer and it was a coincedence that someone deleted his store from within the admin around the time they were running the updates. There host had a backup and all is repaired.

When we do updates to Miva Merchant through the streaming system we only update/upgrade the logic of the scripts and don't make changes to the database files, so it's hard to fathom a scenario in which our update stream would cause a database change (especially one that led to a store deletion).

Export Orders to Flat File Update has been released.

It's available through the MM5 Streaming Update system.

Issues Addressed:
- Fixed an issue where Shipping and Tax totals were not exporting properly.
- Fixed an issue where the Attribute Option Data was not exporting properly.
- Merchants now have the option to Export All Orders, All Unbatched Orders as well as individual batches.

I am a little confused while posting this because I thought that I have tested for this before with no problems. We are running a promotion right now where you can add 1 or more of a certain set of widgets and be offered a free widget of your choice. Unfortunately, we just received an order for a free widget and nothing else (a $0.00 order). Finding the bug was very easy:
- Add a qualifying product
- Proceed to checkout
- Select your free widget
- Cancel out of the checkout process (view basket)
- Remove the original qualify product
- You now have a single free item...

I have tested this bug with and without the new upsell patch, with identical results.

Hi, I consider this a bug because it is clearly documented in the table of contents that deleting expired baskets is not necessary with Miva 5 if you want to restock your shelves:

No More Deleting Expired Baskets

In past versions products would remain in baskets even after they had expired. Items were only restored to your store's active inventory when you deleted the expired baskets. In Miva Merchant the items are made available again immediately when the basket expires.


Why does this not work? If this bug (or lack of functionality - if not considered a bug) is not going to be fixed or implemented, then please remove it from the documentation! This was the #1 reason I upgraded from Miva 4 to Miva 5--to not have to do any manual daily maintenance of my website!

I think this thread needs to be retired now with the release of Core10 and a new one started, since a lot of the earlier discussion has been addressed.

THANK YOU to the "new" Miva Merchantites for the last six weeks or so of bug fixes. The number of patches that have come out recently is very refreshing, and the MivaSQL to MySQL converter is a great tool as well.
