Our website through the W3C validator using www.circlekb.com as the query.

    Re: Miva Merchant 9 Bugs

    Hi,

Seems to be a bug for the CTGY page. When I input 4 columns, it does not work for the CTGY page. The Image type does not work as well. Great template, but need 4 columns. Also, is there any way to keep all the products leveled for each row in the CTGY page so the image doesn't look like it is all over the place?

    Thanks,
    Keith

Pre-install validation failed. No modifications have been made to the existing installation. The following issue must be resolved before installation can continue:

Table "MiniBasket_Settings" for store "GT" does not exist or does not contain one or more expected columns: mysql_stmt_prepare: Table 'giggle_mm5dev.s01_MiniBasket_Settings' doesn't exist

After this issue has been resolved, please select Resume Failed Installation

Once I clicked "install" for the Mini-Basket module under Utilities the M9 installation went fine.

Thank you Brennan., I added it to the "Head Tag Content" and received the following error from W3C
Element name metacharset="utf-8" cannot be represented as XML 1.0.

Did I put it in the wrong place or do I need to do something different? Thank you again. Kris

The admin character set is controlled by a setting under store settings. By default this is UTF-8.

For your website (front end) you can control the character set by putting this meta tag in the head:

    <metacharset="UTF-8">

    Re: Miva Merchant 9 Bugs

Recently we upgraded to Miva9 - Running Miva Merchant 9.0002 MivaScript Engine v5.20
and I am running into this error while using the WC3 Markup Validation tool.
"No character encoding information was found within the document, either in an HTML meta element or an XML declaration. It is often recommended to declare the character encoding in the document itself, especially if there is a chance that the document will be read from or saved to disk, CD, etc."

    Admin HTML Profile shows:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML>
    <html>

I cannot find where the character declaration is to check it. I thought it was included with the <!DOCTYPE HTML> but it appears as if it cannot find it in the provisioning? I really don't know.

I am not sure if this is a bug or setting. Would like to correct it though. Thank you in advance for helping.

We believe it was fixed in 9, but I'm having QA double check.

We are having the same problem with Address Line 2 not showing up (but we are still running on MM5.5) After speaking with an Amazon rep we were hoping that problem was going to be resolved after updating to MM9.

I didn't read through all 11 pages of this thread, but i've been using v9 for about a week now and the one annoying bug is the vertical scroll bar in Order Processing skips over records. For example, it might show orders 99999 thru 99993 on the first page. When I click below the vertical scroll bar to move down it jumps to orders 99985 thru 99979, completely overshooting orders 99992 thru 99986.

Some of that are Amazon rules. They don't provide anything but the shipping info (that's why Billing is blank) and I also don't believe they'll provide a telephone.

I'll have to check on the Address Line 2 and Company stuff though, that sounds like a different issue, but considering the volume of people using this module I suspect may have something to do with your site specifically. You might want to open a ticket.

    Re: Miva Merchant 9 Bugs

There appears to be a glitch in the Amazon Payments payment method.

Billing information never imports the address line.

Shipping information imports address line #1, personal name, city, state and zip, but NOT address line #2 or the "Company Name."

Telephone is never provided, but do not know if that is a restriction on Amazon's part.

There is a tab delimited bug that'll be fixed in 9.0003.

Probably not considered a bug but whatever was done to the ability to import a tab delimited file is really annoying. Something that worked for many years no longer works...

    John,

    From Dev on this:

That's the first we've heard of such a thing and we test this extensively. It's more likely that whatever tool he's using to look at the exported file is missing some of the descriptions for some reason, such as they're too large, etc..
Can you open a support ticket and send in a copy of your Exported Data with the issue?

Re: Miva Merchant 9 Bugs - Data Export

When I export from my 9 site, it doesn't export all of the description for all of my products. I have html lists in most of my descriptions and some exports and some doesn't. I need to do an export so I can find out which ones did not update when I copied data from my 5.5 site. I can do this by sorting for description length, but I need all of the descriptions to export. Any ideas?
