Customer Account(s) - Orders Not Appearing

I did not see this exact issue searching the forums and apologize in advance if I missed it.

This is the first time it has been brought to our attention but I can verify that a problem does exist. We had a customer place an order over the weekend. While placing the order he created an account. We can see both the account and the order separately. However, the order does not appear under the account nor can I find a way to link the order to the account.

    Any ideas???

Re: Customer Account(s) - Orders Not Appearing

You can link an order to any customer. Look up the order under Order Processing. At the top you'll see a Customer: N/A and then an "assign" button. You can use this to assign the order to the right customer.

The way the create account feature works during checkout, it creates the account separate from the current order so they are not linked. A customer will need to be logged into their account before checking out in order for the to show up under their account.

      Brennan,

You're awesome. Can't believe I missed that as I looked on the order page several times.

Brennan Sorry to bring back an old thread but we are having this issue as well. Is this still the case: that if a customer creates an account during checkout, the orders are not tied to that account?
If so, that is what is causing some big issues on a store because they use a 3rd party rewards program called Zinrelo. So customers create the account and are not getting credited for their first order.
        Any fixes?

We added this feature in 10.00.05 (2/9/2021) related to the customer quick add action:

          https://docs.miva.com/miva10/referen...omer-quick-add

If the account is created on INVC it will correctly link the current order to the newly created customer.

Brennan But if it is done the old way, it sounds like the order will NOT be associated? In this particular store the customer can click on the Zinrelo widget and create an account durking checkout - so that is the problem?

Yes likely. There is a new action ICSQ that needs to be used. The Zinrelo widget will likely need to be updated to support this
