Error on Coupon Code

I am trying to give out a coupon code that will apply a 15% discount to a specific product. I am getting the following error message:

Your basket is not eligible for the specified coupon.

I have set this up as follows:

Marketing/Price Group
Created a price group for All Shoppers with a Product Discount of 15%.
I saved it, and with it highlighted I went into Qualifying Products and Discounted Products and applied both to the product I want it to be eligible for. They must buy the product, and if they do they get a 15% discount off of it.

I then created a coupon and assigned it to the price group I just made.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this error?

Hi IndustrialOdorControl

If you have the Price Group set to “All shoppers” then it will be applied to the basket automatically once the basket has met the requirements, no coupon needed.

It sounds like you are trying to use a coupon to apply a discount that is already applied to the basket and getting an error.

Hi Eric, thank you so much for weighing in. I have set both the price group and the coupon to "Specific Customers" and now I'm getting an invalid code error. Any other thoughts?

OK, I figured this out. It had to be set to "Coupon" in the price group and "All Customers" in the coupon.
