New Mail Chimp Module - segmenting lists

With the new module pushing data records to Mail Chimp from Miva, how are customer records being segmented from list subscribers? Or are they clumped in the default list with no way to segment? If there is a way to direct customers to a diff list than the default, where do I get the code for that?

    Thanks in advance.

I agree that it would be helpful to have a better understanding of the data that Miva is sharing with MailChimp through the new integration. From what I'm seeing (related question posted here: https://www.miva.com/forums/forum/on...-all-customers) all customer data is being managed under the same list, but customers are being flagged somehow as being eligible for transactional emails only.

Looks like Miva can only push to one list, and does not segment for you. That said you can create as many segments as you want within MailChimp (and have it automatically update as more information is gathered). You can create segments based on number of transactions, order value, age etc.

That is correct. Miva is only linked into a single list and you can then segment in MailChimp. All eCommerce data is sent to Mailchimp however you can't send non-transactional emails to those customers unless they subscript to your list. That can happen in 1 of 3 ways:

        1. They signup for you list/newsletter via a form on the page
        2. They check "add to mailing list" during checkout
        3. You have the module set to automatically subscribe all customers
