Move Billing address to OPAY screen.

I was wondering if it is possible to move the billing address fields to the OPAY screen.

    We use the Suivant Readytheme

The payment modules we use in our store are:

    1. PayPal Payments Advanced and/or Payflow Gateway (Credit Cards)
    2. PayPal Express Checkout and/or Payments Pro
    3. Amazon Pay

The reason I would like to do this:

For Payflow Gateway paired with TSYS as our processor, our customers' billing address needs to match the credit card they are using.

Even though we have it clearly stated on the OCST page that it must match, we still have people struggling to get through the checkout because their order gets pushed to review by fraud service.

This leads to some extra work in finding their order contents (thank god for the review baskets module) and also leads to double billing if they manage to go back, change their billing address, and then successfully get through checkout on the second try.

I thought it might be better to have the billing address be on the OPAY screen since that is where they are filling out the credit card info.

Might be a little more clear to the user as well.

    Step 1: Shipping Info
    Step 2: Shipping/Payment Options
    Step 3: Billing/Payment info

Should also stop them from having to go back to change the billing address since it would be on the same page.

Any help or insight on the topic would be great.

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Here's an outline:

Copy the existing billing address inputs on OCST as hidden fields (including the Same As Shipping checkbox values -- use "on" as the value="")
Place a copy of the billing address fields on the OPAY screen and populate them with the Shipping Address values.
Label that with "Please Review the Above Address"
The only issue you'll have is that you won't get address validation when the form is submitted.

Alternately, you could move the display of the shipping / billing address to RIGHT next to the Input fields and add the Label "Please Review the Above Address" with an Edit button that takes them back to OCST.

Hmmm and I would guess no address validation could possibly lead to the same issue of orders being pushed to fraud if they accidentally type in something incorrectly.

I think for now I will choose your alternative suggestion.

If someone else chimes in with a way to still have the address validation I will revisit this.

Is there a conditional I can use to only show the review address text and OCST link to customers who are using a credit card through the payflow gateway?

That way it doesn't confuse paypal customers.

        Thanks.

g.paymentmethod. Look in source code for the value past to OPAY for payflow.

More interesting play comes with MivaPay and saved cards.

On OCST you have to go through regular shipping and billing address input, but if you have a credit card saved, it ignores the address that was previously input and loads the default for the card.
In case of billing address change for the same credit card No., customers are expecting that the address that they were forced to input on the OCST will be used for payment. Which is not the case at all.

So now we're just matching the addresses and showing a big red warning in case input billing and card billing do not match. It would be great to completely get rid of the billing fields on the OCST. All hopes are for amazon-like checkout in Miva 9.13

Very interesting. We don't use miva pay currently but it may be a posibility because we may switch from the payflow gateway to braintree.

I would love that change for Miva 9.13.

Isn't there a page on this forum where we can post dream fetures we'd like to see in the future?

This forum is specifically to request, discuss and think out new features you'd like to see in Miva Merchant.
