    Restrict Shipping By Zip Code

I have only been able to find an old thread on this and can't find it in the documentation either. We need to restrict shipping methods based on zip code zones from Fedex. Can we input ranges into the Restrict by Zip Code Field - such as 00200-00299 as that is how FedEx has them?

Yes you can use ranges as well as a comma separated list. Examples:

    50311,50314,50333
    92057-92084
    92010,92013,92057-92099,92120

How many characters will this field hold? Also, I'm confused that you don't have commas after each row. Will the text field accept the input that way?

Circling back on this as I never did get an answer to my questions and now I have another question.

Store is using the EmporiumPlus Flat Rate Shipping by ZIP Code Zone (versions 5.0030)which only requires the first 3 digits of the Zip Code. Are all five digits required for Shipping Method Rules Restrict to Zip Codes? I'm trying to move the store away from this module as there seems to be a possible conflict with it and the UPS Developer Kit. (When a customer uses one of the Zip Codes in the Flat Rate Shipping by ZIP Code Zone module none of the UPS rates are offered to the customer). The module is TWENTY years old so it probably needs to be replaced but I need to know if all the data in the module needs to be converted from 3 digits to 5.
