Shipping Module Recommendations Please

We have a brand new from the ground up ShipStation connector coming out in the next 2 weeks or so, this will likely solve all of your issues (although this is partially a guess since we don't normally hear this complaint about ShipStation/Miva.

I have way too many issues using shipstation... after months... it's still not working properly.... some orders don't download ... some orders download ... orders that don't download don't show up in the shipstation data to unmark them... and miva makes you reset the api password every 90 days... but in shipstation ... it is not just a matter of inputting the new passwords.. you have to re set up/re establish the entire connection... pointing to the module url etc... really not an ideal set up... this api is soooo far behind shipworks....there is really no comparison as far as the api. The pricing is much friendlier than shipworks for smaller businesses. I don't know how much of these glitches is on miva or on shipstation... . but it is frustrating... I don't have issues downloading from other marketplaces with shipstation, just miva.

Leslie, were you able to get shipstation working with your customer's store... some times mine works, sometimes it does not. I fiddled with the shipstation time zone and that seemed to fix it for a while,.. my biggest issue is that it is not downloading the orders consistently ... some times it does and some times it doesn't ... when I go to the order fulfillment, shipstation data, and perform a search either using order numbers or date so I can uncheck them to be downloaded again, the new orders don't even show up there??? have you come across? I've reached out to support several times and then it will start working on this own so we close the ticket and viola a few days later, same scenario, I have orders not downloading again.

Thanks but I do not have a tile in that list for shipstation ... in fact I do not see many of the apps that are shown on the miva site..esp the new apps. I'll put a support ticket in.. Thanks!

Try deleting your browser cookies.

If you click the Settings icon at the bottom of the left hand menu, then scroll to the bottom of that list look for Modules. Then click that and search for ShipStation Integration Script - check to see if that has been installed from there.


The site that was having issue with the ShipStation module already had it installed. I discovered this when I tried to upload the module only to get the popup message that it was already there. So I navigated my way to the Order Fulfillment Settings and found the ShipStation Settings screens there.

Yes, the version date can confuse but here are the instructions that helped me figure out what was still needed when setting up another store.

My screen does not have the plus minus.. .it does not look like the screen in the how to.... I 've added modules before... but this new backend doesn't give me to the add plus sign...?

You and I been using ShipWorks for many years, any reason in particular why you are switching to ShipStation? I wanted to know what I might be missing out on.

Yes I have been using shipworks for years...While Shipstation and SW are quite similar in function, the pricing subscription level for ups/usps discounts is not. I lost A LOT of sales from amazon marketplace, when they got rid of Seller Fulfilled Small and Light Prime with the USPS debacle. Shipstation offers the same commercial shipping discounts as SW on all levels so I can reduce my shipping level and still get the discounts - plus it is web based which I think will be better for me... hoping I am able to build up the sales once again...via other routes (cause I am tired of trying to slay that "dragon') . .... but until I do, shipstation is substantially cheaper for the same UPS/USPS shipping discounts.

I have shipworks installed - but I am switching to shipstation... any info would be helpful! I have found a shipstation module from the miva apps site, and downloaded the zip, it looks like a version from Sept 2020 but Rick Wilson above mentioned a new integration coming for shipstation?

We have a new ShipStation integration with them waiting for final launch, it should be this month in their App Store. That same integration will also work with ShipWorks at some point in the future since it's built on the new Octane systems they've deployed.
