    MM5 Released

    Hello Users,

Yes, it is fine to compare the features of MIVA Merchant 5 with v4.x on
    this group.=20

We would prefer, though, that any in-depth discussion of MIVA Merchant
5, including troubleshooting topics and any discussions on related MIVA
Merchant 5 modules be limited to the MIVA Merchant 5 Users group list.
We don't want to bog-down existing or new v4.x users.

    Thanks.

I understand that but that doesn't prevent a discussion comparing the
    two
versions on either list. Fortunately, others have seen the wisdom of
    such a
discussion and have been willing to engage in it. You're still free to
    abstain of course.

MM4.x will be around for a long time, and its support and sales needs to

      MM5 Released

Thanks for the clarification Jimmy. That's all I was ever looking for was an
opportunity to discuss the pluses and minuses of a potential upgrade.
There's no sense in me subscribing to another list right now when I don't
know for certain that I'll ever upgrade and certainly won't for some time
due to module availability and other issues.

        Dan,

Have you logged into the demo admin? You can see for yourself some
differences and decide whether they are better or worse without the OpenUI.
        (worse in some cases)

          MM5 Released

I haven't yet but I definitely will when I manage to free up some time for a
more in depth look. I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect from
those who have already tested it out extensively to see if anything came up
that would rule out an upgrade for me. That hasn't happened yet so I'll
continue to look into it further.

          Thanks,
