More of a feature request than a bug:

The UPS generate shipping label feature is great, but some more options would be nice. Specifically our store would need a 'signature required' options for when we send expensive/small items.

I have been having some issues with the new product import from flat file routine. I have close to 8000 products, and it reports at the end that a large percentage of them were not processed. I have turned on the option to e-mail the log to me, and the log begins with a few error messages (these are normal because I use a header row to help me choose the correct fields, then intentionally leave the "header row" option unchecked so that I can see it). Then I get the message "Reloaded on record #6997" (or some similar number), and only receive log data for the products past that number. Essentially, everything from #2 to #6997 is missing from the log. It also appears that none of the products update within that range either.

I also find the new layout a little more time consuming to use. It would be nice if I could import product data through the XML import, or if the header row could be read to pre select the field names.

UPDATE to above:

The import works if the "header row" option is checked. Apparently, there is something that has changed that is causing the new routine to have problems if I include the header row in the data. It really is not easy though to try to accurately assign field names on so many columns without some sort of guide.

The status in Manage Orders has been showing "backordered" for individual items, even when there is positive stock. We have been receiving numerous customer inquires as to why their basket said in-stock, but the order status shows backordered. This seems to occur for items that are in low stock or where the customer orders the last available, but has also been visible with items that have a large quantity available.

Manage Orders does not allow for returning a portion of an order. If a customer orders 6 units and only wants to return 2, Manage Orders forces us to return all 6. Furthermore, there is no way to cancel a return (change status back to shipped), when the customer changes their mind and decides to keep the items. We have had to stop using the returns feature due to the high number of customer complaints about the inaccuracy quantities.

Another issue with Manage Orders is that when you cancel an item or make an adjustment to the quantity the change is not reflected in the order confirmation email.

How do you create a new inventory variant when you have already auto generated some? This one step is extremly confusing.... is it even possible? Seems to have been skipped in the tutorial.

After some time with support and a little and some explanation from support at Hostasaurus, I reread the help files you sent and discovered the errors were mine. The errors didn't have any effect on the old version, but Wombat wouldn't accept them. After taking the time to locate all the errors and make the corrections, the upload now goes without a hitch.

Can someone explain the logic behind this change?

I'm using the new cssui on a new site and find charset=UTF-8 has been added directly into every page template instead up putting it into the HEAD Tag Content / CSS area (where it belongs).

I can no longer just change (or add) the character type in one location but must edit every page one at a time.

We are having a different Log Out Issue. If a customer logs into their account and tries to log out it simply does not allow them. The LOGIN template is called up securely and we tried all the template changes suggested.

It is certainly a "known issue" but we do not have any idea what the cause is and do not have a fix. I asked about it here a number of posts back but got no real illumination other than "we use that function in our Ajax so maybe there is a conflict". The "missing function" mentioned in the error message is not a function required by shipping modules. The UPS Custom has no javascript in it so a conflict isn't possible. Unfortunately, I have also been unable to replicate it in my test store. I am able to create orders without errors.

I will definitely update the module to work around the issue but at this point I'm going to need some help from those with access to the source to help suggest a possible fix.

With this issue going forward it would seem that there is no way for me to have access to "real time" UPS shipping rates for domestic shipments and there is no way to obtain UPS international shipping rates at all. This seems to make the New Order feature in Release 7 practically useless for anyone who ships products outside of the US with UPS or needs more advanced rate calculation for their store.

We have since identified the issue for Viking Coders and they know how to fix it, it's up to them to get an update out.

It's not a javascript issue at all btw
