    Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

I actually didn't see that, but thanks for the info. Its always good to know!

I was just excited for Safari 5:) Its great it plugged holes, but it caused a hole in my miva orders:)

I use Firefox however I did download the new Safari.

Just checked same issue (Legacy is Ok though).

        Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

I was using firefox, but it has always been too laggy for me.

Safari is much quicker via miva admin especially with ultimate order status.

Neverthless, are you saying you experienced the same issue with miva and the new safari? I'm not sure what you meant by legacy is ok. It clearly doesn't work for me nor a miva web designer who tried it as well with safari 5.

          Re: Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) Bugs/Issues

I concur and Safari 5 is much snappier

Yes I am experiencing the same problem (Safari 5 on Mac OS X v10.6.3)

What I meant is orders are not displaying in the new Manage Orders and Manage Shipments but are displaying fine in Legacy Order Processing under Utilities

I wonder if this is not related to the other issue of accents not displaying correctly in the new Manage Orders and Manage Shipments but are Ok in Legacy Order Processing.

I think the new Safari 5 is less forgiving than previous versions. I had to change today couple of things in one of my other sites as the display was broken but still Ok in v4 and other browsers.

thanks for concurring :) Yes, I can see them in legacy order processing, but that does me no good :) I guess its back to firefox until someone responds stating they will look into this. Hopefully Rick is out there some where :)

I'm in Chicago at IRCE and only on my iPad, so I can't test it :)

But yes I also updated to Safari 5 the other day but I hadn't checked it out yet. I've sent it off to QA to confirm and file a bug, I'm sure we'll fix it soon.
              Thanks,

iPad - you dog ;) I could have used one of those a few days ago. Now it's the MacBook Pro and the LazyBoy recliner. Still can't lift my arm enough to sit my desk.

We confirmed this morning that data is not displayed in the Manage Orders and Manage Shipments forms when using Safari 5.0 on a PC or Mac. We have posted a bug for this issue.

Please report any other incompatibilities you find with Safari 5.0 as a reply to this post.

We recommend using Firefox for these admin forms until a patch is released.

                      Using:
                      Production Release 7
                      Miva Merchant Engine v5.06
                      Database API: mysql

The file that is being exported is not tab delimited, even though this is the option chosen. I've tried other export formats as well. When opening the file I get the message "The file you are trying to open is in a different format than specified by the file extention".

When I open the file it has radio buttons, clickable links etc.

I did an export to flat file for catagories and it was working normally.

Any thoughts? Couldn't find any related posts. This was working properly before the PR7 upgrade.

                      Cheers!

What are you opening the flat file with? Are you using a spreadsheet program like excel or a text editor?

I tested the Product Export on a PR7 test store and the file produced is Tab Delimited, which imported properly into Excel. The export file is created with a .dat extension, which you usually have to override in order to import the file into Excel or other products.

What software are you using to view/import the file?

I'm using MS Excel, which works fine on my other Miva sites. The file is products.dat. Can I send you a copy of the file so you could take a look. After opening the file, looks really weird - not tab delimited, doing a save as defaults to .html.

                          Thanks,
