    Hi Dan,

Here is the short list of ones that we know were affected:
    ADS/STL:
-ADS HMTL Email modules (Merchant/Customer) - BEFORE core-17 if possible
-ADS Product Flags Pro - update BEFORE Core-17

    Weiland/Emporium Plus:
-Custom customer fields interface - update module BEFORE core-17 if possible
-Tool Kit - update after and only if using functions for meta tags
-Template Data Feed - update after
    -Power Search - update after
-Addendum meremail (email module) needs updating after Core-17

    Sebenza:
    -Category Template Manager
    -Product Template Manager

If you purchased the modules from www.mivacentral.com you can use the self-help feature here:

    http://www.mivacentral.com/upgrades.mv

If you bought directly from the developer, you would need to contact them. I think you may need to contact Sebenza for updates if you are using his modules- I'm not positive but I don't think he has updates on Miva Central.

Core-17 Bug in Show Orders for Categories and Products for non administrator admin

In my store we are using admin groups and different users allowed to do only certain tasks. Core 17 broke their ability to do order sorting. This occurs in both category and product admins.

When they click 'show order', the link itself changes to "hide order'.
However, the dhtml that displays the text boxes containing the sort order integers doesn't work. The "remove/assign" column is not replaced with the 'order' column. The text fields do not display.

For users who are full administrators, this functionality still works fine as it always did in the past.
However users with priviledges of view, add, modify assigned for the products and categories can no longer use the sorting feature.

This worked prior to core 16.

We did not use core 16 in production so I do not know if it was broken then. It is postively broken in core 17.

        Hi Kayakbabe,

I'm not able to reproduce this in my test store- it works as intended for me.

Can you please email [email protected] so we can get a ticket started and take a look?

        Thanks.

Just in case anyone else runs into this. The key to triggering this problem is that
the user can not have the right to 'delete' products or categories. The group for which the user is assigned can view, modify, and add. But not delete.

Laura confirmed can recreate the same issue and is submitting a bug report. Should be fixed in a future patch.

Just to clarify, the product sort feature does work if the Delete privilege is assigned to the group. The bug appears when Delete is not assigned to the group.

              Miva Merchant: Upgrade: Error

Miva Merchant encountered a fatal error during upgrade. The upgrade process has been aborted. Error Code: MER-UTL-CST-00056 Description: mysql_execute: Duplicate entry '772-1' for key 1
Just for posterity, here's the SQL query I used to find duplicate entries in the custom product fields table:

              Code:
              SELECT field_id, product_id, count(*)
              FROM s01_CFM_ProdValues
              GROUP BY field_id, product_id
              HAVING count(*) > 1;
Doing that will return the field and product ids that are in there twice, and then you can remove them manually. (Plug for phpMyAdmin here!)

Note that you should be pretty comfortable working with databases before you try something like this.

                  Re: Core-17 Streaming Update Released

Has the bug for admin groups been fixed?

The one I reports where if you are using admin groups in your store...
the category show order link which had always been controlled by the 'modify' settings.
was changed to be controlled by the 'delete' setting.

Sort order should be a 'modify' not a 'delete'.

We want to give employees the ability to modify (move) things around, but not actually delete them from teh store.

is this fix in package 6?

                    Hi Kayakbabe,

Yes, that was fixed with PR6. I just tested in my test store and I can sort cats with Modify.

                      Re: Core-17 Streaming Update Released

I forgot to copy the original error message i got when i tried to upgrade so i am not sure if they are the same message.

When i try to upgrade now i get this message:

                      Code:
Error Code: MER-UTL-CST-00049 Description: mysql_execute: Table 's01_CFM_CatFields' already exists
I have not altered the country list in anyway, also i am not running any modules that were listed as having problems, the only module i am running is a payment gateway module.

This is the error i now get in the product page:

                      Code:
                      Runtime error in lib/db.mvc @ [00000080:00000094]: lib/dbeng/runtime.mv: Line 247: MvOPENVIEW: mysql_stmt_prepare: Unknown column 'rlp.disp_order' in 'order clause'
