It provides you access to the html for the Category Tree on the left side so you can modify it just like you would all the other pages in the software.

There's an inventory bug whenever you "Import Products From Flat File" and do not include an adjustment of inventory.

For example, if you upload new prices for your products only, the inventory will be set to 0 for all of those products.

I found this bug the hard way when I ran a sale the other day and all of my sale items (hundreds) had their inventory set to 0 when I adjusted the prices. I spent the whole day doing inventory--ouch!!!

Actually (and I'm sure Miva is aware of this), this is not how the bug works. The bug is that the Ship To and Bill To countries default to the store's country (Admin > Store > Settings). Since most of the stores are US, people assume that the country is hardcoded to US, but this is not actually true (at least in our setup). What our store has done for a couple months now is to remove our store's country selection (re: manually edit the database to make the country code an empty string). This works better than the module fix that was released (in my opinion), but it fails in the same way where if there is an error in the form submission, the bug is back (again, forcing the ship to/bill to country to be your store's default -- even if the customer has already selected a valid country from the list). It's a little confusing to explain, but it should be fairly obvious if you start playing around with it on a (non-live) store.

I discovered this alternative bug fix a few months back and we have been using it with a fair amount of success (customers still call confused when they submit the form with an error). The only nuisance this creates is that you can't edit your Store > Settings without selecting a country for your store (including editing the Global templates and Head tags). I haven't noticed or heard anything about the store's functionality being effected.

This bug exists in both the ACNT and OCST screens.

PayPal 5.0203 has been released.
It's available through the MM5 Streaming Update system.

This patch addresses an API issue with PayPal IPN.
Previously customers placing an order through PayPal without a PayPal account received "Authorization Failed" errors.

Cool. I had both Sebenza modules anyhow so imlementing the new code was a no brainer. Now the hdft is actually in a variable that I can play with. Yeah!!

I submitted this issue via the Miva bug report form a month or so ago and haven't heard back.

In MM5, if you remove an item from the cart and then do a browser refresh, you get a fatal error MER-00001. I have confirmed this on many MM5 stores (it does it on Sebenza.com, for example).

Also, I have tested extensively and found another issue. If you add the same product to many categories (in our case, I have a few products that reside in over 1600 categories), the product page is then very slow to load (around 5 seconds on Hostasaurus).

To check the issue (the site is still under construction):

If you go to this category, the first product in the list is in 1 category, and the product underneath it (strad1) is in 1600 categories. I have isolated all the other potential differences in each product that may be causing the slowdown.
