When you open up Mia and click on Home Page, what is the URL that pops up? I think you're just missing the port number in your URL's.

When I click homepage I get
        http://127.0.0.1/

When I launch Miva Mia the interface indicates port 80

So when you click on Home Page it doesn't display http://127.0.0.1:80/? By default Mia should launch on port 8000. You URL's in site config need to reflect that port.

Re: Setting up Miva Mia with Miva Merchant v4.14-v5.0

OK I deleted the Merchant2 out of MIVAMia\HTML and did the same for DATA and changed the port to 8000 then I put the files back in.

I open Miva Mia and click homepage logged in to the admin and go to the storefront everything is fine. But the moment I change to http://127.0.0.1:/Merchant2/merchant.mvc? and make the other changes and click refresh all he** breaks loose and some of the images ceast to show.

When I go to category or product pages all I see are red x's

This image here is what I currently have set up in Domain Setting>Site Configuration

The URL should always have the port number. The URL to my admin when I use Mia is:

              http://127.0.0.1:8000/Merchant2/admin.mvc

Re: Setting up Miva Mia with Miva Merchant v4.14-v5.0

Out of curiosity would images that have spaces in the name cause this?

Because all images that are for ex:

bottomsect.jpg show just fine, but images that are a red x have this format

bottom sect.jpg which does not show just fine in Miva Mia.

It's a possibility. It might be a windows thing. None of the admin graphics have spaces. I assume those are working just fine now?

admin graphics always worked it was when viewing the storefront that I noticed that the only images that were not displaying were the ones that had spaces in the name. Just need to make some adjustments to correct this.

Spaces are not valid characters in filenames accessible through web browsers - and while that may work in SOME cases and SOME web browsers, it should never be assumed that it will work across the board. Rename the file to bottom_select.jpg and it should work just fine.

Is there a way to batch rename?

Yes, there's a plethora of file management tools that can do mass rename operations. Which one to use will depend on which OS you use and what other features you may be interested in. Google for these options - there's a ton of them out there.

I did setup MySQL connector and Miva mysql connector
Now, I run http://127.0.0.1:8000/ from miva mia. And it doesn't prompt Fatal miva error any more, but prompt "Application time out during mysql query..."

                                Bulk Rename Utility - http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php

This is a pretty sweet file renaming program. It gives you all kinds of options on how you want to rename files.
