A cheapo approach focused exactly on what you asked for would be Digital
Resizer from IceGiant (www.icegiant.com). You can't beat the cost (free to
process up to 30 images at a time - $10 for an unlimited license) and it
processes full directories of files at a time. I'd try it out on a few
images at a time until you nail down the best percentage reductions for your
needs. It's clearly not the full featured type of graphics product that
others have mentioned but sometimes simpler is better.
BTW, if you buy the license, take a look at their alternate $17 deal which
appears to unlock all of their products.

Very nice video! And I guess that answers the question - the stack crap
remains in the link because that's what the module uses.
So
<A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Offset=5&Category_Code=Al coholFavours&Previous_Stack_Depth=1&Previous_Stack _1=0">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Offset=5&Category_Code=Al coholFavours&Previous_Stack_Depth=1&Previous_Stack _1=0</A>
becomes something "like":
<A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/Offset/"value"/Previous_Stack_Depth/2/Previous_Stack_1/"value"">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/Offset/"value"/Previous_Stack_Depth/2/Previous_Stack_1/"value"</A>
Still would be cool if it could do:
<A HREF ="http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/p2">http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/page/pinkproducts/CTGY/alcoholfavours/p2</A>

Edit the graphic offline with a graphics editor. Photoshop is probably
the editor of choice, however there are many graphics programs that can
do the task.
Adjust the size of the graphics t a suitable site, generally speaking -
anything larger that 200 px x 200 px will appear too large.
Once you have edited the graphic, upload it again.

IMHO, it would have been a good idea to have some kind of autoresponse
to new tickets telling people this. ;-)
Hope the trip was enjoyable, though.

For the first time in many years, I have been out of internet contact

Hello Daniel,
You can use OpenCurrencyT module it will display prices in multiple
currencies. Module works great and you can find it here

I am looking after a Miva store based out of Canada. Many of our
customers are in the US and Europe. Currently we display our pricing in
Canadian dollars. I think we are loosing out on US sales because our
prices appear to be high when in fact they are very competitive.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to show multiple currencies or
how to let the customer pick which currency is displayed? I have seen a

Thanks so much to those who privately responded with ideas. This list
rocks!
For reference purposes for those who might want to know, the solution
while not exactly what I wanted did solve the problem. Emporium Plus'
module "Buy X Get X Free" did the trick. When clients buy 13 the 13th
(lowest priced) item is free, etc. etc.
Peace and happy 4th of July weekend.

Subject: [mru] I'm stuck, in desperate need of help with product
configuration
Hi Miva users, I am stuck and getting pretty frustrated here. I hope
that someone can please give me some direction, I don't know what else
to try.
I have a store that sells to both consumers and retailers who buy
wholesale. I have setup price groups and availability groups which
works like a charm.
However, we have created a few package deals that include multiple items
plus free stuff. For the life of me, after trying many different
possible ways to set these products up, I cannot figure out how to get
it right.
The products are like this:
PRODUCT #1 - Diver's Dozen which include 12 products from the regular
store at 50% off plus one free dive suit.
This looks something like this:
Code Size
D101 medium
D101 large
D101 xl
D200 small
D200 medium
D200 large
D400 xl
D400 2xl
D600 small
D600 medium
D600 large
D600 xl
PLUS - the Free offer is a drop down where they can select only ONE dive
suit.
PRODUCT #2 - Diver's Twenty Four has double the above plus the need to
chose TWO free suits and PRODUCT #3 - Diver's Thirty Six has triple the
above plus the need to chose THREE free suits.
Currently, I am using 'inventory manager' by VikingCoder's which has
been awesome. Each product (ie "D101" is setup to have multiple
attributes (sizes, colors). I can't figure out the best way to put
these packages together where they included each of these items with
their respective attributes, plus the free item/s and automatically
deduct each of the items from the inventory.
Please, please, please help.

You'll find your Empresa version listed on your admin screen right after
you log in.
It will say:
Miva Merchant Version: 4.16
Miva Engine: 4.xxxx
From what I've read in Linkpoint's docs, that error is a generic error
when the handshake for SSL fails. This could be due to a communications
issue.
Has it worked before?
