I received an email from Support stating that the Mailchimp issues have been resolved with the latest patch but I am not seeing any improvement with the product images. Do I need to re sync the data?

Yes, you will need to re-sync your data.

To be clear , Do I simply need to run the Task "MailChimp: Full Synchronization" again? This won't give me duplicate products and customer data will it?

We didn't make any changes to the auto subscribe feature in the release. If enabled, it should automatically subscribe any customer who places an order as a full subscriber (not transnational).

This only impacts new orders since the module was enabled. It does not auto subscribe customers/Orders pushed to MailChimp during the historical data sync scheduled task. Those customers will get pushed up as transnational. However we did also confirm if you had a customer who was already a fully subscribed list member, syncing the historical order/customer data does not overwrite their subscriber status to transnational only.

If you seeing something different please let us know.

We're considering adding additional settings for the Historical Data sync to allow those customers to be auto-subscribed as well but that is not part of this release. We want to see how people use it and if it is really needed.

Brennan, I'm definitely seeing something different with behavior of the module. No question about it.

I have the auto opt-in option selected, and when new customers (not already on the list) place orders they get added as transactional only. I was seeing this before the update, and I've confirmed it's still happening after the update. Screen shots are at the bottom of this thread: https://www.miva.com/forums/forum/on...-all-customers .

There's also been some odd behavior with the initial sync. I somehow had about 3500 email addresses pushed up to MailChimp as transactional only. Some of them were existing, active members of my list who have now been overwritten as being transactional only. I haven't dug into the data to determine how many or what exactly happened. But something definitely wasn't right on that initial sync.

I've been in touch with MailChimp today about how to roll this back. The only way to do it automatically is through an API update. It can't be done through a CSV update. MailChimp support says:

It appears that transactional contacts can only be converted to subscribers from an API import, rather than a CSV import. Which means that if you can get Miva working, and then can re-sync, it should convert those subscribers to their proper status. These settings in Miva may help: https://cl.ly/2N3q2D2m1E1x

Secondly, if that's not an option, what you can do is delete the transactional records from your account using our deletion tool (which only works 100 at a time, as you can only "select visible" and not "select all") and then import them as subscribers using a CSV.
As of now, I've got the module disabled, and I'm planning to manually work through deleting the transactional records and do a CSV import to try to revert to what I had before the module was added.

On IIS7.5, I've lost all the icon images in admin pages.

That is weird because I have tested it and verified it works as expected. I must imagine that for some reason the customer is not actually being subscribed after proceeding through the OCST action. This is how the module works:
                Code:
                1. User goes through the ORDR action
                2. If the auto-opt in settings is checked OR the g.MailChimp_Subscribe is checked continue on
                3. Determine the customer's email address. We use g.Basket:ship_email when the primary address in your store is configured to shipping and g.Basket:bill_email when the primary address is configured to billing. If the email address is not blank, we continue on
                4. If the double opt-in setting is checked, then we sending a status of "pending" otherwise a status of "subscribed" is sent
Do you have a separate checkout process or something similar that would cause the software to not trigger the ORDR action? If you don't, I have no idea why this wouldn't be working. You could open a support ticket and we could potentially look into it deeper.

Since it doesn't sound the ORDR action is being triggered, that means the customer is not subscribed. When a customer places their order we always set them as transactional, but the catch is that if they are already subscribed to your list they will NOT be overwritten. I just verified this in my test environment. I enabled auto-subscribed, proceeded through the ORDR action and my customer is now Subscribed on MailChimp's end. When I finished placing my order my customer was still set to Subscribed.

See my post above. In addition, MailChimp states the following on their website:

The customer’s opt-in status. This value will never overwrite the opt-in status of a pre-existing MailChimp list member, but will apply to list members that are added through the e-commerce API endpoints. Customers who don’t opt in to your MailChimp list will be added as Transactional members.
What they say is what I'm seeing on my end. I have a customer that is subscribed and then when they create an order it has never overwritten their status for me. Your best bet is to open a ticket and maybe we can look at your overall setup.

If I am missing how to fully do this I would like to apologize as I'm unable to locate it. How do I set this to disabled? I can add it with no issue. I just can't disable it. Thanks in advance.

I can confirm that since the 9.07.01 patch, the Mailchimp module is now working correctly after I ran the "MailChimp: Full Synchronization" task again. The prices are now there and the images display properly.

I may have found a bug (site is completely up to date) - when a product is deactivated, it still shows up on the category page. When you click on it, it comes up as expected "The item you requested is not available at this time." The site does not use Power Search and does not come up in the search.

I think I've got another one - this one involves the EmporiumPlus Show Baskets modules. The store owner is reporting
it set that after 60 seconds the baskets will be deleted by me but they are displaying negative seconds like this one

Store is completely up to date. This started happening after the update.

That's an easy one to fix! Decommission that module and use the newer built in Review Baskets function instead.
