Miva Inc. recognizes the online stores that raised the bar and practiced the utmost of ecommerce excellence in 2014. This year four were crowned, The Blades Ecommerce Awards Winners at MivaCon 2015 on March 26th. The following four categories, Best Website Enterprise Class, Best Website Small Business, Most Improved Website and Best Feature, had one winner selected for each category.

Winner of Best Website – Enterprise Class
ThePaperStore.com

This site is as complex on the inside as it is beautiful on the outside. Using Miva’s Enterprise tools, the Miva development team created customized integration between TPS’ Miva store and their ERP System Epicor.

Specifically, there is a complex order export integration of new order data from Miva to Epicor, as well as data being imported from Epicor to Miva including shipping/tracking information, store availability and new/updated product data. Miva’s Professional Services team has also created a variety of other reports and site customization resulting in an automated and efficient workflow for the client.

Accepting the Blades Ecommerce Award on behalf of ThePaperStore.com at the Blades Awards Dinner on March, 26th, 2015 via video acceptance was Josh Pinsonneault, Manager Ecommerce.

“Being recognized by MIVA with the Blades Ecommerce Award for Best Enterprise Website is an honor. It is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of all involved in the development of our website. We are excited to continue the growth of our ecommerce business in 2015 with MIVA as a partner.” – Josh Pinsonneault, Manager Ecommerce, The Paper Store.

Winner of Best Website – Small Business Class
Liquidlogickayaks.com

The team at liguidlogic has a passion for kayaks, nothing more. So when they came to Miva to help them pursue their passions of selling quality kayaks online, the goal was simple. Create a streamline shopping experience with a backend that mirrors the front. This fully responsive online store allows their thrill-seeking customers to shop on the way to their next adventure. With the hover-zoom technology, shoppers can rest assured they are getting exactly what they want.

Overall, the shopping experience on liguidlogicKayaks.com is organized, informational and to the point – exactly what today’s shopper expects. With all of these reasons and many more liquidlogickayaks.com is the 2015 Blades Ecommerce Award Winner for Best Website – Small Business Class.

Accepting the award for Best Website – Small Business Class was Nathan Tayloe and Andrew Gray.

“We are honored to have received the Blades Ecommerce Award for Best Small Business Class Website. We put our hearts and souls into this project and could not be happier with how the site turned out. We feel that the site accurately portrays our brand and our passions while providing the end user with a seamless buying experience through the Miva platform. I want to extend a special thank you to Chris Hayden at cgraydesign, Nathan Tayloe, Megan Mabe and the entire TGK team for all their hard work and dedication to make our vision for liquidlogickayaks.com become a reality.” – Tyler Brown, Business Analyst/Project Manager, liquid logic.

Winner of Most Improved Website
EssentialDepot.com

With many products to showcase, EssentialDepot.com went through a complete redesign, creating a stimulating shopping experience. This online store is fully loaded with professional grade product imagery, informative product descriptions, and user-friendly functionality. Simplifying the product categories enabled the shopper to better navigate through to checkout. And just in case the information-packed product pages weren’t enough, EssentialDepot.com offers a “Live Chat” to answer customer inquiries with just a click of the mouse.

Essential Depot’s project was a combination of complexity and an expedited timeline. The client had to be off of their ProStores site by the end of January 2015 as that platform was shutting down. A complete responsive redesign, data migration and site build on the Miva Merchant platform was completed in less than 14 weeks.

It is with the help of a Shipworks integration that simplified their complicated shipping rules, and innovative functionalities that EssentialDepot.com took the Most Improved Website crown.

Accepting the award was Derek Hodges, President and CEO of Essential Depot.

Miva is an amazing “Merchant Inspired Virtual Architecture”. It is a rock solid fully customizable e-commerce platform, which allows us to integrate and grow all elements of our business without any limitations. – Derek Hodges, President and CEO, Essential Depot.

Winner of Best Feature
FrancisDrakeEyewear.com

FrancisDrakeEyewear.com provides a classically designed, user-friendly shopping experience, with their standout feature being their “Virtual Try-on.” With “Virtual Try-on,” the shopper can easily use the camera built into their computer to be fitted for eyeglasses until they find the perfect fit. Seamless integration with inventory variants and TryLive technology helps the user select any type of glasses available and try on that specific color, shape or style.

Also, a Francis Drake customer favorite, the use of custom fields and upload functionality makes it easy to submit your prescriptions to get exactly what you need. Because of these revolutionary features, FrancisDrakeEyewear.com took the Blades Ecommerce Awards crown for Best Feature.

Accepting the award for Francis Drake Eyewear was Owner, Jerry Evans and his wife Karen Evans.
