With every new release, we strive to deliver the most sophisticated ecommerce features, performance, and protection available – but we never force updates on our member sites. While our cloud-hosted software updates are easy and safe to install, we offer all customers the flexibility to update at will.
In general, out-of-date software is the primary cause of security breaches. In keeping with the protocol set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), we recommend that our customers adopt updates within 90 days of release, and within 30 days of release for security-related updates.
If you choose not to update after 90 days for general releases, or 30 days for security releases, we will assess a small monthly fee for non-compliance (NCF), at the rate of $75/month.
The purpose of this NCF is to encourage all customers to take advantage of the very latest feature upgrades and security enhancements, ensuring the best possible experience for your business.
